What was your favorite or least favorite part? Favorite characters?

Just started reading, and wow, this is some pretty intense stuff. At first my gut response is that it was pretty hyperbolic and then I realized it really wasn't. It's an uncomfortable read so far, but a good one.

I liked this book a lot. I agree with Janette that it was uncomfortable (at times), but I think that's what made it so good (in my opinion).
