The Invisible Man by HG Wells / 3 stars

I think everyone knows this book, but let me break it down briefly anyway...
The Invisible Man is about a man who is, duh, of course invisible. He rendered himself invisible because there are 1,000 possibilities for someone invisible, none of which he ever mentions. And he mostly gets his rocks off physically assaulting people. He quickly realizes that being invisible isn't awesome and he has a victim complex about it. I can't believe people are scared of an invisible entity talking to them, stealing from them, and generally terrorizing them! Why isn't being invisible more amazing!?

Griffin, the invisible man, is a whiny brat and I hate him.
But there is a lot of slapstick comedy of errors in the book that are fun.
And it is graciously short.
