Combine entries?

These are separate entries under both ISBN 10 and 13

0975254057
9780975254059

but they belong to the same book. How do I combine these? I didn't want to mess up my fist try.

1) Combine the two. (You did this already.)

2) Delete the one with less info (in this case, the one with the ISBN-10).

3) Add the info to the other edition, so it now has all the data.

I would only offer that you should do what rivka suggests, but in the order of #1, then #3, then #2.

Can't in this case. It won't let you ad the ISBN-10 while the other record exists.

It will let you cut and paste into the field, just not save it. I usually do stuff like this with both pages open in separate tabs/windows. When all the info is transferred over, then I save each one with the changes, then go back and delete the redundant one, once I know the new one 'took'.
Just my paranoia at work, I guess. = )

True. I guess that's actually more like what I'd do, come to think of it. I was trying to break it down into distinct steps, but I don't actually do it that way! ;)
