Hah! RR you and RF are both RN's. I am a caregiver which sometimes allows me to read at work. My client today struggles with demensia so you never know. I am still reading Hunted but the team just went into rescue Zoe. That Zoe is a fighter man she just took a chunk out of the villain's neck. This is her best villain and rescue book yet. You get to spend more time with him actually after he abducts them. Rotten bastard. Jen Fredrick is new to me so the one I just snagged for free ( thanks to RF) will be my first. BTW I am such a cheap skate I would have grabbed the glasses. I would have washed and disinfected the hell out of them but I wouldn't have been able to walk away. Kate your hilarious as ever and my hubby is good but his wound didn't heal as well as they thought so he needs to go back on Wednesday. He's diabetic so I think that's why. Thanks for asking. HH has quite a few books I like but her highlanders are usually pretty dense when it comes to how a married an should behave. The h always seems to be petite but will teach the H that after marriage it is up to the wife to satisfy his needs alone. Especially the Murray lassies. Lol I have to get ready for work.

Good morning, ladies. Here are a few freebies for today. This first one I haven not read, but I did read Rescuing Rosalind several months ago. That was the story of the little sister to the h in this freebie. I think I gave RR three stars because I had some minor issues with the storyline; writing, character development, if I remember correctly, were all pretty good.

PASSION AND PRINCIPLE is another PRIDE AND PREJUDICE spinoff sequel. Sigh It's a story about Elizabeth and Darcy after they marry. It has an overall star rating of 4 stars. Check out LMN11 review, which is pretty informative. Unfortunately, she only gave it 1 star. Her review can be found on the first page of reviews. The main issue with the book, as far as the negative reviewers are concerned, is the personalities of the characters, which are not true to form from the original P&P.
Rachel I included LAIDEN'S DAUGHTER for your benefit, as all of us have already read that book. It was the first book written by Tisdale and the first book by here that I've ever read. For me it was only a 3 1/2 star read; although it was a really good first time novel. But many many people absolutely loved it! The book has an almost five star rating and over 400 reviews, and the author has developed quite a following. Anyhow, since then she's written several other books and we recently read her Frederick's Queen which I thought was phenomenal.
LAIDEN'S DAUGHTER is about an English h who runs away after she stabs her employer, an earl, who tried to rape her. She works as a servant in his household after her stepbrothers sold her into service. Her mother died when she was very young, and she was left in the care of an indifferent and cruel stepfather. Anyhow, she's beaten up pretty badly and is in significant pain when the H and his men find her. He ends up taking her home with them.
There are a couple of twists and turns in the story that are later revealed, relating to the h's identity. Anyhow, you can check it out and see if it's something you'd be interested in reading. It's definitely a safe read. :-) Here's the link to my review on GR.

QUEEN MAB is a dark variation on Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET. It has a fantasy-like element about it.
DANGEROUS MEN is set around the time of the Civil War. I only included this book because we had book one, SHATTERED LIVES on one of our previous freebie list and this is a continuation of that story. There are also two other books in the series. I cannot say whether or not this book ends in a cliffhanger; none of the reviews make mention of that, but I do know that book three is about the same couple. The book blurb is completely useless!
EMERALD PRINCE is about an English h who is sent by the king to marry a man she hates. En route she is kidnapped by the H, a handsome Irish rebel. Apparently the h was married to a man she loved and respected. Within days of her becoming a widow the king orders her married to another of his knights who is known for his cruelty. Tough life for women back then, huh?
NO UNSPOKEN PROMISES is about a wealthy society H who decides to take some time away from his life in Chicago. He goes west where he meets the h. He thinks she's married, but she's not. She's really an innocent, but she wants to sleep with the H because she is sure that she is going to die a spinster in her little hometown. They do the deed; they get caught; they are forced to marry. The H is not happy, nor is the h for that matter. I believe the H was a man whore, but had a rule about not taking a woman's innocence.
That's it for today, ladies. It's not a great list, but hopefully you all find something on the list that whets your appetite. TTYL!

Hey EB, sorry to hear about Ken's wound, but yes that is one of the negative effects of diabetes. I'll keep him in my prayers! Glad to hear you're liking your book so much. I have yet to start CAPTURED but plan to do so after Lucian's party today. Have a great day at work!
So Rachel you're a RN? What area do you work?

I'm off and headed to bath and body works. I am upset I finished Hunted and typed out my review then my cable went out in the middle and I lost everything. I needed to get out of the house bc I loved what I typed and it's all wiped out unless I can restore it. The book was awesome and I started Razing Kayne. It is so sad but now things are not too depressing of a vibe which I like. Ken is fine the lady who was worried is just being extra cautious. I like that bc it shows me she cares about her patients. How's the family party going RF?
RF thanks for the rec! I will have to look into that Laiden's book! I am out and about today with the Hubs trying to find cheap baby furniture lol!! I am a certified Critical Care nurse because that is what I used to do full time. But now I do that part time as well as One Day Surgery which is fast paced but easy! :)
As soon as I get home I'm pulling out my laptop to catch up!!!

OMG, Rachel! I worked in the ICU too. I was a Certified Trauma Nurse and worked at a Level 1 Trauma hospital. I did that for years and then I started working between the ICU and the recovery room. It was a nice change of pace. When I moved to Cali I worked in the recovery room of a Same Day Surgery Center. That was a breeze after the hospital where I had worked for so many years. I actually went to law school before I moved from Florida, so when I moved to Cali once I got my bar membership I started practicing law. I left nursing for years, but returned after my daughter was born. I did some home health for a while. Since we moved to MA about three years ago, I've been home with the kids fultime.
I hope you like LAIDEN'S DAUGHTER. It has a pretty good romance despite all the other drawbacks I complained about. They didn't seem to bother most other people. Sometimes I can be a little picky. Sigh
Why are you looking at baby furniture? Are you pre-planning? LOL

The party was awesome! The kids had a fabulous time; I am beat! LOL I'm glad to hear Ken is doing well. Yes over caution is better than a lax attitude, that's for sure. I'm sorry you lost your review. That has happened to more times than I can count. I finally started writing them in a MS Word doc and copying pasting when I'm done. Still every once in a while I get lazy and just do it directly on Amazon. Most times it's fine, but every once in a while I still end up losing my review. Ugh! It's totally sucks because it is always the review that gives me problems to write. The books I love, the books I hate are both easy to review. It's the in between ones that are hard.
I'm trying to get myself in the zone to start my highland romance!

OMG that's awesome! So we are very alike in that aspect of our lives too! :) One Day Surgery is definitely WAY easy even though it's very busy and can be stressful - just in a different way than ICU nursing. :D
I will totally look into Laiden's Daughter soon and then re-read what you wrote to refresh my memory LOL. I am wanting to read Blue-Eyed Devil , Soaring , Last Kiss and even Another Shot at Love so I still have SEVERAL to get through and SO little time!
As far as furniture goes ... We are actively trying and this would be our first :) It is too early to tell yet if I am pregnant or not but I am really hoping!!!! *fingers crossed with praying hands* So yeah we are on a budget. I am not looking for fancy furniture. I have a friend who is really good with arts and crafts and she can help me paint furniture that may not necessary LOOK the best outward wise, but be made of good materials. I saw a listing on Craiglist that I am totally into - it's 600 for everything and I also saw a set (not as nice) at a thrift store for about $620 so we will see! That's not bad at all for either one :)
I'm glad you enjoyed your party! Kids parties are crazy busy! haha

Aw that's so awesome! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the news you want soon. It's so exciting planning/having the first one! Yes, bargain buying is definitely the way to go. Before you know it, you'll be switching out from a crib to a toddler bed and then a twin or full size one. They really do grow up fast!! Not to mention we bought our daughter a brand new, top of the line crib and if she slept in it half a dozen times that was a lot. That was a super waste of money. Thank God we never went with the changing table and all the rest of that stuff. We had a pack and play downstairs, one of the ones that had a changing table on it, and I think I used it once...the changing table I mean. She did take her daytime naps in the P&P. Most nights she was curled up with me and my husband in our bed, and that's where she stayed for years. We always wonder how we ever managed to get pregnant with the second one because she was always in our bed. LOL
Wow you've got quite a list going there. I have a pretty long TBR list as well. I always seem to find other books that push their way to the top, so my list just keeps getting longer and longer. Make sure you grab a copy of LAIDEN'S DAUGHTER while it's free. It's been free for several days now and the price could go up any time. Every once in a while Amazon will offer a book for free for one day only. That doesn't happen too often, but I've seen that with a few books especially the ones with the higher price tags...free one day, $9.99 the next!
Yes Same Day Surgery is fast paced and can be stressful in its own way, but nothing beats ICU. I remember once I was working for an agency. They were desperate and asked me to work in the ER of a small hospital. Supposedly the ER wasn't usually very busy. Well, let me tell you, that eight shift almost kicked my butt, and it wasn't even that busy. ER is a whole other animal! LOL
My party kicked my butt today. The kids had a blast. My daughter's best friend came home with us and just went home about a half hour ago. It's been a long, long day! We just got the kids showered and fed. I'm about to go take care of myself now...FINALLY!

I just downloaded Laiden's Daughter so I get it for free! :) I did it on my kindle because it's .99 on BN. Sometimes the same freebies are on BN free as well so I always check!
I am still shopping used baby furniture as we speak! LOL I found a set it's a nice brand crib that is a 4 in one - goes all the way to full sized bed and the dresser where you can use the top of it as a changing station if you get the pad and she is selling for 500. I am trying to get it for 400 because I'll still need a dresser and a rocker. I am hoping another 200 and I'll be done :)
We have a BN near me too but I have found better prices on Amazon. So get this Amazon sent me an email saying they couldn't publish my review. I reread it and couldn't find a thing wrong so I did a chat with a rp. He tells me I was bc there is a 500 word limit. So I'm really mad and I get sarcastic and smart assed with him. I said Oh yes accommodate people who write two word reviews not ones who actually tell you what it is about. He goes thanks we would appreciate it. It was a nice review. You really know what your talking about. I'm like gee thanks. I guess I just need to say it in a couple of sentences and he then says Did I answer your question. I'm like Oh you've said enough. Have a nice day. Is that short enough? LMAO. So he than goes into this speech asking me You do know I am not the one saying what the rules on. Then I feel guilt creep in and I begin to think this poor man is catching all the flack so I asked him how many words is it? I didn't want to count and my software does not do it for me. So he goes and does it comes back and says it's only 400 words. I am busting a gut. His solution was to connect my paragraphs and resubmit it. We shall see. Stupid idiots!

they still will not publish it. He said he sent it to the review board and they will notify me by email. I told him I don't think it will change a thing. He said if not contact them again and they will try something. I started publishing on Amazon and so many of my reviews are on there. He said they appreciated my reviews. That's a laugh. Goodreads is Amazon's social network.

Haha Good luck! BTW you've got a Kindle and a Nook? If you prefer reading on your Nook, have you ever considered downloading the kindle app to that device and using it to read both the Amazon and BN book? I'm assuming you can do that of course. I admit I don't know that much about the Nook, but...
EB, you know that 400 word limit is a bunch of crap right? There is no such thing. I've written plenty of reviews that are way longer than that. You shouldn't feel bad about giving the a$$hole a hard time because he was just trying to pawn you off with some bullshit. I just copied and pasted one of my reviews to MS Word so that I could get a word count. I posted it on the 11th. According to Word there are 1259 words in that review, so unless Amazon has changed it's review guidelines in the last few days, that rep was outright lying to you. They've done that before to others when they've contacted them because of problems getting reviews posted. I think they told Kate she was having a problem because she had ...in the title of her review, which was crap because I do that all the time. At least I'm pretty sure it was the ..., but whatever it was it was something that I too do all the time and have no problems getting my reviews to go through. I never contact them. I just wait until later the same day, or the next and resubmit it. Amazon definitely has some issues with it's reviewing system. If I were you I'd try again today, although with the review board supposedly looking into it, it may still not work. It's worth a try though.

Well I told the guy it was crap for what good it did me. They forwarded on to someone else bc it wasn't the words but something within the review that some power crazed Moran is having fun. I'm on a 12 hour shift today. I get off at 7. See if they say anything

If I were you I'd try resubmitting it later when you get home. It most likely will go through with no problems. I don't know why, but sometimes Amazon's system will go crazy over a review for no good reason. The worst part is if you call customer service they feed you some crap just to pawn you off because they have no idea what the real problem is. I'd rather someone just told me they don't know, than feed me bullshit!
That's kinda funny about your husband, Kate! But I can understand. Forty six years is a long time, but you're still together so it's obvious y'all have a good thing going...even if you wont admit to it. ROTFL!

So ladies, I just found a fabulous little treasure. It's a contemporary romance which I came across while I was searching for another book--one I read years ago and can't remember the title, but that's another story. Anyhow, in my search I found this book, Second Time Around. The blurb intrigued me, so I added it to my wishlist last night and this morning I decided I just had to read it. The book is only $1.25 on Amazon, but happily I found a copy at my library.
OMG! I read the book in one setting. It's absolutely fantastic. It does hit on a couple of hot button issues, namely sex with another, and love triangle, but none of that bothered me in the least. Let me tell you why...
The H and h met when he was 18 and she 14. The h was newly orphaned and had recently moved to Wyoming to live with her grandparents, whose ranch bordered the H's family's ranch. The scene where she and the H met for the first time had me ROTFL. Basically he's making out with another girl in a movie theater. He's ah touching her you know where and she's making these moaning sounds and saying things like, "Oh Quinn, you're killing me, that feels good, blah, blah blah." Next thing you know he hears another voice behind them mimicking his date. I was cracking up! Can you imagine? And when his date says to him let's get out of here, Lanie (the h) says "You sure Studly here can walk with that boner?" ROTFL
Anyhow, she spent the rest of that summer annoying the crap out of him and they became friends. He was about to go to college, but they kept in touch by letter and each summer they'd hand out. Then the summer she turned 18 things started to change; their feelings started to evolve. Eventually they got married and lived on their ranch in Wyoming. It would be a lovely story, but for the H's evil father...and I do mean EVIL.
The H is from a wealthy family. His father built a successful pharmaceutical company, so the family is rolling in dough. They actually live in Chicago, but the H used to spend every summer on the ranch with his mom before she died and continued to do so through college. The dad, Edward, is major controlling. He wasn't happy when the H married the h, so he tricked and manipulated them until he go his own way. After the couple married he wouldn't stop badgering the H until he got him to come back to Chicago. En route the H has a life altering accident and was in a coma for two months. During that time the father sprung into action. He filed for divorce on behalf of the H and kept from her how serious the accident had been. She thinks the H is abandoning her. She finds out she's pregnant, tells Edward, but he never tells the H. When the H awoke from his coma, he was told that SHE had filed for divorce!
Five years later, she's ready to remarry and discover that their divorce was not legal. She goes to confront the H...this is where the story opens. I loved that scene. The h is no pushover. Anyhow, she wants a quickie divorce, but the lawyers tell him that's impossible. There is too much potential financial ramifications, he has to go talk to her. This is when the dad says if she tries to get money we'll sue her for custody. This is how the H finds out that he has a son!!! Can you believe it? He was so furious! I loved the revenge he enacted against his dad.
Anyhow, he's off to Wyoming to meet his son. When he discovers that his wife never filed for divorce he decides to fight for her, so he blackmails her; three month trial marriage or he'll sue for full custody. She agrees.
The h has a fiance, but he's not really a big presence in the story. Everyone behaves like adults; they all agree to be civil for the little boy's sake. He is absolutely adorable! The h had never slept with her fiance Even thought it's technically a love triangle, it's not really because while the h and H are working on their marriage the fiance is out of the picture. They agreed that the h would give the marriage an honest effort and she wouldn't spend any time alone with the fiance. The H had had sexual relationships with other women during the time he thought he was divorced. However, t wasn't made an issue in the story. Considering he believed himself to be divorced I was okay with it. Plus it wasn't like he was a man whore, even though the papers made it seem like he had a lot of women. But as he told it between his numerous surgeries, intensive physical therapy, and work he didn't really have time for women. He was engaged to another woman, but that was pretty much a sham engagement.
Anyhow, I LOVED the book and wanted to share. I already wrote my review on GR and Amazon. Here's the link in case anyone wants to check it out for themselves.

Hey RF - I actually use my kindle app on my iPad mini and iPhone when I have a freebie there or if that's the only way I can get an ebook hehe. I don't have a kindle and nook! :)
Kate - you are a riot!!! I know how it is to need some space from your hubs. I'm glad we work separately so we get that break for sure :) RF - although I kind of like the storyline of that book, I think I would have liked it better had the hero actually went to the heroine after he woke up from his coma and the story could have started there. I don't like how they both moved on. That just doesn't sit right with me. You would think for a couple so in love they both would have tried to figure out what happened instead of both just accepting the situation and moving on. The scene in the beginning with the other girl wouldn't bother me so much as long as it wouldn't be a repeated thing until the heroine gets older. Also, I don't like how the hero moved on with so many other women and the heroine did not. She didn't even sleep with her fiancée. I appreciate the information though!!!

Ya I figured I'd mention all the hot issues. Really though as far as trying to see one another when they were separated, I cried when I read how/when the H found out she'd divorced him. His friend told her that when the H finally wrote up he kept asking for her and insisted they they were trying to keep her from him. When his father told him that she'd filed for divorce he sunk into a depression. He stopped eating and would have died if not for his friend. The thing is his thigh had been crushed and it was only by a miracle that he didn't lose the leg. At first he couldn't walk, then he had seven surgeries in the five years. At the beginning of the story he'd only been off the crutches for six months. So he's been through a lot.
I think it would have been more up to the h to try to contact the H. I honestly don't know if she ever tried. I wouldn't be surprised if she had, but the father kept a tight reign on things and I'm sure he would have had strict instructions not to let her anywhere near him. So she could have felt that he was ignoring her. It didn't help that the night of the accident they had argued and he left her to go back to Chicago. She refused to move there with him. But even at the beginning of the story when she tries to contact him about the divorce he doesn't get any of her messages. His father had spies everywhere; he gave the H's secretary instructions not to pass any messages from the h to the H. So the h has to crash a fundraiser to get to see him. Ugh!
How was your nursery shopping yesterday? Did you find everything you wanted?

I actually read two books by this author - Katherine Allred and although I liked them, I felt that they were entirely too angsty for my taste. I think that that particular storyline could have been good if certain things were changed. I don't like how an injured man like that is portrayed as a man whore. I don't know, I am still having trouble dealing with neither one of them reaching out for one another. One man cannot have that much damn power, I'm sorry. :/ It makes my heart absolutely hurt that the hero moved on and the heroine didn't. And you even said, the hero was willing to give up even when he KNEW what his father had done until he found out he had a child. Now, I LOVE the child aspect of that story because I love kids in romance, but I'm sorry - that's ridiculous. He should have fought BEFORE he found out he had a child and then maybe I would have been convinced. That's just like the last book I read by her - What Price Paradise. The hero didn't convince me there either.
My nursery shopping went well! I was able to find a nice crib that is snow drift white (distressed off white) that changes from a crib all the way to a toddler bed AND a dresser/changer for $400. The crib alone is worth almost $1,000. I have two thrift stores that I will try in the near future to get a dresser that I can paint that's at least 5 drawers and tall as well as some kind of a rocker. I'm not against the wooden ones. Whatever is cheaper :)

Wow that's awesome! Sounds like you mad out like a bandit. LOL. Yes a rocker is definitely essential. We spent hours in ours rocking our daughter to sleep. She was one of those high maintenance babies in the sleep department. LOL. My son was a lot easier, but then the second ones usually are.

Was that after you heard from them or did you just go ahead and try to resubmit on your own? That whole situation is beyond ridiculous. I bet if you went back and edited you could add back in whatever you deleted. But honestly who wants to spend so much time on a review you're not even getting paid to write? If Amazon keeps making review writing so hard people are just going to stop doing it.
LOL Rachel you're so crazy. You'll get pregnant in good time I'm sure. I thought I was a planner, but you've got me beat...furnishing the nursery BEFORE the baby is conceived. Haha

Hey guys, I'm reposting a comment Judy left for us in one of our previous book discussion discussion boards. It's a tip on a series. Here is it...
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I just read what I consider to be an amazing series by Jessica Dotta - the first book in the series being Born of Persuasion. They are not my usual fare - mixture of gothic, victorian period romance and although they are considered somewhat of a Christian Romance, I didn't find the books preachy at all. In fact, I was basically through the first book before I even realized it was considered Inspirational. Not saying there's anything wrong with Inspirational books, and I respect the genre and know there's some amazing books out there, it's more that I felt these books don't quite fit in any box and I found them absolutely amazing. I actually put out $9.99 each for the books and I'm a cheapskate. Just wanted to post this in case any of you want to take a look see. I could not put them down. BTW, they are not standalone books.
That was Judy's comment...We've actually had BOP on our freebie list a few months ago, back in November or December. I just double-checked and I do remember the series. There are three books, each ten bucks. I remember discovering they were not standalone--I'd forgotten that. Anyhow, I did give that info with the list, so that may have deterred some of you from getting the freebie. They are also not on KU. I did just check and discovered that my library has all three books, so if it's something you wanna read you might check with yours.

Rachel: enjoy reading while you can babies are a joy but will be very demanding. It's a great demanding though nothing beats the pleasure you will get from being a mother. I'm happy for you in advance. i figured my review problem on my own. The last paragraph mentioning abduction and drugging was out of control. F!?k heads!! They're dumb all that stuff is found right on straight cable. LMN shows it all the time.

EB you are so right about babies. Rachel after my daughter was born I didn't read for almost SIX years! First there was my daughter and then 2 1/2 years later my son was born. It wasn't until we moved here--MA--that I started reading again. At first I was crazy busy, but after that it just got to be a habit not reading. Not to mention that you are interrupted every two minutes. Even now, my kids are 7 1/2 and 5 and there are times when I find myself rereading the same sentence four or five times because they keep bothering me!!!! LOL
Okay EB, I'm lost. What the heck are you saying? You can't use words like abduction and drugging in a review?!

Apparently bc if you read my review here and then on Amazon that's the main difference. Send me customer feedback bc they will get it!!
Okay ladies, here are a few freebies for today. This first one is a repeat freebie from lists past. Rachel the H is engaged to another woman, the h's cousin I believe. I don't know how much of a love triangle it is, as I haven't read it myself. The H and h both love science so they get involved working on some type of experiment. Anyhow, I don't know how firm of an engagement there was between the H and the cousin. I did read the book after this one, and from I remember that was said in that book, it was an informal understanding between the families, or some such. Anyhow, there wasn't any "romance" between the H and the cousin.

WHAT A DUKE WANTS is another repeat freebie. Both EB and I have read and reviewed this book and we both gave it 3 stars...I think I gave it 3 1/2. Rachel I think this is a safe read...no OW/OM and no real angst. In case you're interested, here's a link to my review so you can get a better idea of what I thought about the book.

LADY FLORA'S FANTASY is yet another Shirley Kennedy freebie. Wow! This one does involve another man. Apparently Lady Flora has gone gaga over a completely unsuitable man, much to the H's horror. So, the H is in love with the h, but has to watch her make a fool of herself over another man.
LIFE RESTORED is a western. The h tricks her parents so she can go on some trip and then gets stranded in the Arizona desert after a her stagecoach is held up. The H is an express rider who finds and helps her. Apparently they don't really get along at first. LOL It sounds pretty interesting. BTW this is book three in the Prescott Pioneers series. We've had books one and two, A Dream Unfolding and A Heart Renewed, on previous freebie lists. Here is a link that gives a nice layout of the books plot.
http://smile.amazon.com/review/R29CQL...
A CHEYENNE CHRISTMAS is another repeat from a previous freebie list. Rachel I dont' know if you're into westerns, but this is a really sweet novella. It's about a h who goes is new to town. She needs a job so she can take care of her two younger sisters. The only job she can find is to work as a housekeeper for the H and his younger brother. This is a super sweet story! It's safe. LOL My review is the first one, if you wanna check it out.
SNOWFLAKE TIARA is a book that includes two stories. It's just over 300 pages so I'd guess that each story is about novella length. They are both about women who enter the Miss Snowflake Pageant, an event that is given to raise awareness for the plight of street urchins. Wow, the first story is set in 1889. The second in 2014. In the second story it is the 150 anniversary of the Snowflake Pageant which is now given to benefit needy children. They are both Christmas stories.
INHERIT THE PAST is a time travel story. It sounds intriguing although I don't know how much romance is involved in the plot. The H inherits a house from his German grandmother. He and his teenage son travel to Germany where the H hopes to quickly sell the house. He hopes that the trip will help to improve his relationship with the sullen teen. There is also a twenty year family mystery that has remained unsolved... the H's mother, while visiting her parents in Germany, disappeared with her father without a trace.
Anyhow, at first the H cannot find the house and ends up asking a woman for help. Her, her nine year old son, and her great aunt all help the H and his son find the house. When they do find it, at some point all five of them get swept back into the past. They can't find a way back to the present, and end up getting involved in a murder investigation, which is said to further widen the rift between father and son and put both their lives in danger.
Oh blast, after all of that information I discover that there is a book two where the damn story continues. According to the FIRST review, she couldn't give the book five stars, but she's interested enough to read the next book, which I can't find, BTW!! Ugh! I'm leaving the book listed because some of you may want to download and read now or wait for the sequel to be released. The story certainly sounds intriguing, but seriously! Two of the four reviews the reviewers have only ever reviewed books that this one author. Suspicious?!
Well that's it for today, ladies. I hope you all find something that you like. Rachel I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Rachel~ Razing Kayne is at the angsty part. They are back and fourth bc he knows Gracie is his and that dumbass that is in Kaynes face is pissing me off. I want to reach through the phone and choke the sob. Lol I don't like when people are so unreasonable that they won't hear the other one out. I'm still interested just needed to take a break.
RF my client today tested me. She was snapping at me and totally unreasonable with me today. I was at a loss with her.
I will most definitely enjoy reading while I still can! LOL I will keep you guys posted about being pregnant! I really hope I am, but I am getting depressed because even though it's only two days late, I am getting slightly crampy :( RF - thanks for the break down! I'll pass if the hero has a fiancee. See how picky I am??? I am SO hard to please! LMAO
Elizabeth - keep on reading girlfriend! I am the queen of pickiness and HATE angst and that's really as good as it gets with this book - the part you are currently on. It clears up very quickly and you will like the result :) PROMISE
I am sorry about your client! I do get patients like that as well - where I have to smile and grit my teeth. Sometimes even the family gets on my nerves. I swear, these days I feel like a glorified waitress. I have work for the next two days too! BOO LOL!
She was just so short with me and I finally decided to put a bit of distance between us would help. So she went back to watch tv I hung out in the kitchen and it did help. I am always open to suggestions.
Elizabeth wrote: "RF my client today tested me. She was snapping at me and totally unreasonable with me today. I was at a loss with her."
AW EB, I'm sorry to hear you had such a hard day. Which client is this, the one with the granddaughter that you knew as a child? Maybe she was just having an off day. You know that happens from time to time. Even though isn't she normally very stubborn anyway? BTW giving each other some space is a great idea. It's got to be hard for a patient to always have someone hanging around, if not you then another caregiver or a family member. I know I get cranky when I don't get my alone time!!
Rachel don't start getting depressed. If it doesn't happen this month it may the next. Let me tell you, stressing about it is the worst thing you can do.
I had a spontaneous abortion the first time I got pregnant. My husband and I were so excited when we got pregnant, so we were devastated at the loss. The funny thing is that before we had gotten pregnant we weren't even sure that we wanted children. We both kind of assumed that we would one day, but when the time came and we actually talked about it, we were kind of nonchalant about the whole thing. Anyhow, we finally decided that we would go ahead and try because if we didn't we might live to regret it at some point in the future when it was too late to have them. We figured if we got pregnant, great, if we didn't, no big deal.
However, after the miscarriage I became obsessed with getting pregnant again. Each month I found out I wasn't I became so depressed. My husband was so worried about me and so stressed out about getting me pregnant that he started to have performance issues, which only made me stress out more. It was a horrible cycle. Finally I had to make myself relax before I drove Brian nuts and hurt my marriage--we weren't fighting or anything, but all that stress can't be good, right? When I finally told him that it was okay and we went back to the if it happens it happens, right after that I got pregnant. It was the most amazing thing!
Sorry you have work tomorrow. What that's two 12 hour shifts in a row right? Ugh! I remember those days. Sigh! At least you were able to grin and bear it. I was the bitchy type. I'd fight with my really difficult patients. They always stuck me with the ones that no one else wanted, and when they refused to change the assignment I'd give my manager fair warning, you will be getting complaints and I don't want to hear about them. LOL Usually though the patient and I would figure it out and then we'd get on like a house on fire. It's the families that were the worst! Ugh Ugh Ugh!!!

HAHA! And you are right. I need to stop worrying! What is meant to be, will be! I need to just be calm LOL!!!!!!
I had trouble getting pregnant with my first. I took clomid and had to perch my rear on a pillow afterwards. I got pregnant straight off but I stressed after I was relaxed and my second just happened. I was at work and noticed my breasts were sore that only happened when I was pregnant and it occured to me it had been two months since my last period. Just be patient and I can tell you as a smart ass toward my hubby I joked and stood on my head with my first instead of pillow. Lol
The client I had RF is a fall risk and she is starting to feel better and wanted me to vaccuum upstairs. I don't feel comfortable carrying the sweeper up her stairs. Then to boot when I did get her mail she snuck down the basement steps
OMG Don't you just HATE it when your patient doesn't want to WORK with you! Ugh - that is the WORST. Sorry honey! And thanks for the advice!!! :D I am going to KEEP CALM and eventually get pregnant LOL! I should make a shirt!
I remember the fear of the possibility of not being able to be pregnant but seriously the fist advice my dr gave me was. If your cycle is normal 28 days count back 15 days to your next expected start day. Three days before and after will be when your most fertile. I am a firm believer that you should just have fun and love one another and god handle the rest. It's not always so black and white but see what happens. How long have you been trying?

We have only been not using any type of birth control since February 0.O and I do have a menstrual app that I have been keeping up with for a few years on my iPhone. We have barely started so I don't know why I am getting so damn emotional. It's ridiculous!
Thanks for your tip with RK. I know you don't like angst either so I knew it must not last very long. I know it is all a big shock but either she's not listening or he's jumping to conclusion and I know it makes sense I just hate watching them attack the other. Then that damn friend of her dead husband needs to get more than punched in the face. I did like how she jumped his hit and how close he is to the kids is awesome.

My heart breaks too for how her deceased husband used to treat her :/ She deserve a good man!
Well he left her and didn't want the kids but what else? Did I miss something else? Maybe I haven't got it. I do find it interesting how both of them had spouses who were lost.

Why he was partial to one child. I won't say anymore! LOL!
Well ladies I see I've been missing a lot; I was getting the little ones down for the night. I'm tired myself so I'm heading off to bed. Have a good day at work tomorrow both of you.
EB I hope your day goes better than today did. If your client is at risk for falls and you can't trust her, you have no choice but to keep her in your sight no matter what. I'd just take a seat where you can see her but be out of her way. She might just be wanting to prove her independence. Imagine suddenly having every aspect of your life controlled. You can't even go to the bathroom on your own. It must be frustrating and she might just be going through a bad period because of that, especially if she's the stubborn, independent type anyway. It's not easy dealing with them when they're like that though. It makes your job harder because you have to protect them from themselves.
Anyhow, goodnight!
