Hello ghouls and ghosts! Welcome to the September Grim Readers pick! This month we are reading The Homecoming by Andrew Pyper! This is the thread for any spoiler free chat, so feel free to discuss anything non-spoilery about the book here. For spoilers, please see the separate checkpoint forum threads.

As always, there is no specific schedule to adhere to, but the book will be divided up into the sections as follows, with discussion questions to be posted on upcoming dates:

Checkpoint #1 - Chapters 1-19 - Sept 7
Checkpoint #2 - Chapters 20-43 - Sept 14
Checkpoint #3 - Chapters 44-end - Sept 21

This book has been on my radar for a while now and I've really been looking forward to it! We are excited for another fun and spooky month of reading with you all.

I wasn't familiar with this one prior to seeing it in one of the polls, but have been wanting to pick it up since then. Glad to have the chance to read with the group!

Hadn’t heard of this one until it showed up in the poll. Getting to read books I would otherwise miss is one of the reasons I joined this group, along with the discussions!!!🖤🖤🖤

That makes me so happy! Over the past year or so I have gotten to discover authors and books I'd never heard of before as well and it has been such a fun journey. We started this book club as a way to not only read more horror and dark fiction with other like-minded readers, but also to have a chance to discuss the books we are reading.

I'm glad to hear that at least some of the members are enjoying the group so far! ^_^

Absolutely!!! 100% enjoying the group! I forgot to mention "read more Horror" as another reason for joining, I think I said that in my "Introduce yourself" post! Doh'! I love horror and was just not reading enough of it!!!
