It's all in the timing and Michael just got in there first for a book for October.

It is only 77p too so if you don't like it you can tear the pages out and put them on the fire during those cold winter months.

:)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments Yay, my first nomination!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments What are you enjoying about it so far, Mikey?

message 4: by Michael (new)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments Hard to say, really.

I've become quite interested in mental health issues, so reading about someone who developed an eating disorder piqued my interest. I was also intrigued in reading the thoughts of someone from a marginalised section of society.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Cool, thanks.

B J Burton (bjburton) | 2680 comments When I first read Mike's post I laughed out loud thinking it was another example of his sense of humour. I was staggered to find that the book actually exists. I don't think I'll be reading it, but it gets my vote for the 'Most Interesting Title of the Year' award.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yes BJ, and the author is a valued groupite as well.

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I've looked at this a couple of times but always seemed to have something else in my queue. This will give me the kick! I shall download it and read it next.

Of course - the title simply took me unawares. I look forward to hearing what readers think of it.

Natasha Holme (natashaholme) | 832 comments I'm knocked out, people. THANK YOU so much for the nomination, Michael. Gulp :-)

B J, as one of my favourite reviews says: "This book is exactly what it sounds like from the title. It's kind of awful yet addictive."

B J Burton (bjburton) | 2680 comments Hi Natasha. Well done on writing a book and coming up with a title that grab people's interest. I hope you sell millions.

Thanks very much, Sarah.

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments Finished! Review is here - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

It's quite weird in a way as I remember when Natasha first published it (her GR avatar is very distinctive!) and my thoughts at the time were somewhere along the lines of "why would anyone be interested in reading that?"

And yet I've just bought her other diary. Funny how things change, eh?

message 26: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Ward | 12 comments Wow! amazing book, nearly half way through since yesterday.

Tammie Ward | 12 comments Loved, loved, loved this book. Compulsive reading, read it in a day and I haven't read a book that quickly for years.

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments I'm almost finished with Natasha's other diary... I don't know about anyone else but I really really want to see this photo of Miss Williams.

Just checked out your website, amazing job at promoting yourself, I am sure you will do really well.
Is that picture of the diary's your originals? If so, wow!! You must have never stopped writing, haha.
Cant find my comment though? :)

message 34: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Holme (natashaholme) | 832 comments I've actually nabbed two quotes off you, Tammie :-)

... is a small selection of the diaries I used to write by hand in my Greek code. I used to p*ss off friends and family immensely, writing away in a corner for hours. ... Yes, they're my originals.

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments Just finished your other diary book, was a good read.

And that Greek code stuff is bonkers.
