Lindsay (crowshollow) | 50 comments Going to get my copy from the library today. Although I am currently over "booked" with all the to reads in my library basket I will get to this one. Currently trying for a book a day... success thus far has been good.

Serena (aesa70) I read A Deadly Row last night and I'm currently reading A Killer Column, and I plan on reading A Grid for Murder either tonight or tomorrow.

I enjoyed the series, though I would have liked to know more about the logic puzzles she does. It would have been nice for Tim Myers (Casey Mayes) to include one at the end.

Wow, Serena, do you read a whole book every day! I'm doing well if I read a book in a fortnight.

Serena (aesa70) Sarah, I'm an avid speed reader and yes I read about a book a day if its around 300 pages. In fact I'm doing the 2014 Reading Challenge for 365 books and am currently 16 ahead of schedule. lol

I'm glad Tim Myers decided to put logic puzzles in the 2nd and 3rd book, they were fun and I always enjoy Cozies that share a bit about what the book is talking about.

As for the series, it wasn't my favorite though I did give all three books 3 stars. The "My Husband" every other sentence became extremely annoying after the first page. That and I really couldn't care about Savannah made it less enjoyable than it could have been. I found her personality to be far to much of a caricature to like or care about what she was doing. The surrounding characters were far more interesting, and I would have liked to know more about them. Which is a sad commentary on a writers ability.

I may give his other Cozy's a try but probably not unless they are part of a challenge.

Linda C (libladynylindac) I found this story very interesting with all the puzzle references although the type of puzzle they solve was not completely apparent to me as I was reading the book, not being familiar to all the types of math puzzles out there. I particularly liked the relationship between Savannah and Zach. I will be looking for more in this series.

I was so disappointed that my library didn't have this, and I didn't have time to check on an ILL. I'm going to try and get it at some point.

I'm late to the discussion, but I really like this series. In responding to your comment (noted above), I have not been disappointed in any of the Tim Myers series written under any of his pseudonyms (Tim Myers, Elizabeth Bright, Melissa Glazer, Chris Cavender, Casey Mayes, and Jessica Beck---missing any???). I've read most of them.

He does have some e-books that I haven't read and I haven't read the Lighthouse series (though I have it) nor any of the Jessica Beck series (3 to date) as of yet. He's a good crafter of mysteries and characters. The stories are involving and entertaining. I look forward to new entries in all of his series and want to get the ones I haven't read done as well as getting to his self-published e-books.
