The Fantastic Fiction sites shows a publication date of 2015.

The original pub'n date was in 2012. Like the last book in Jerrilyn Farmer's series, it may never appear.

Seems to be what they're doing. I've seen it move at least 1/2 dozen times and I've just given up on it (and the last Jerrilyn Farmer one - which I am quite bitter about, btw).

Know what you mean about the Jerrilyn Farmer book. I liked that series and kept what was supposed to be the last one on order for quite sometime until I got tired of the delays.

I've read the first four and enjoyed them. I have 5-7 in my TBR pile. I've been slowly getting into the paranormal cozies, I wasn't reading them at first.

Has anyone seen anything on the author's FB page or anything about the publication for the last book? Is she still alive?

I believe the author is still alive - according to her author page on SYKM. There are question marks in place of the publication date for her last book.

I started this one and realized that I've read it before. I think I've read the first three. I enjoyed them at first, but started disconnecting.

I was not drawn to the heroine or the plot; something about her just didn't feel right for me.
I will probably not pursue further volumes in this series.

I just finished this one! I agree with Linda, i wasn't too inclined to like the heroine. I do enjoy some paranormal mysteries but the main character should be a little more whimsical. In this case , this one didnt make it for me.

I agree with your assessment of Maggie O'Neill in this book. I kept with the series because of the supernatural aspect of the stories and because I liked the other characters. I got to like Maggie more as the stories progressed.

It was the same with the Tricia Miles character from the Booktown Mysteries. It wasn't until book 7 that I actually started liking Tricia. I kept with the series because of the storytelling and the secondary characters. Book 8 is out and 9 is on it's way. I'm hoping that whatever made me like Tricia in book 7 continues in the new editions.

I've been impatiently waiting for the next book to come out. There is a March 31st publication date, but who knows if it will actually be published or moved back again. I'm starting to lose hope of it ever being available.

And here we are a year plus later and as far as i know, no new book!!! I'm with you Lynne -- i wish they'd get it published!
