SOLVED. series about a teenage vampire boy [s]

I can't remember the name of this book I read when I was younger. It's actually part of a series, but I've only read the first book. The main character is a teenage vampire boy. He goes to night school with other vampire children and has an older brother. He becomes friends with two humans - a girl and a boy, who are a bit wary of him. I can't remember why but they go to this vampire mall that is underground, where the lower levels are a sort of dark "black-market" type place. To sneak his human friends in he gives them zombie's cloaks to wear so they look and smell like his zombie servant. At the end of the book, something happens (I'm not sure, but I think the main character's older brother and his friends attack a human party/disco/prom or something...) and he attacks and kills the male human friend. But I think that it actually turns out that the older brother did it and made it look like it was the main character. In the next book in the series, I think the male human friend who was killed comes back as a zombie.

If anyone has any idea of what this book or series might be, please let me know. I've been searching for this book forever. Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking that you're talking about the Oliver Nocturne series which starts with The Vampire's Photograph It's not that old a series (2008) but then it matches on the Night School and Vampire Mall aspects.

I got the first one at a thrift store and started it but lost interest part way through. Not bad enough to disregard completely but not good enough to enthrall me (and what good vampire book isn't enthralling?)
