Okay so re-reading TDM in preparation for In The Afterlight, I was just wondering what happened, or what people think happened to Samatha when she stands up for Ruby right at the start of the book. I don't know I think something is implied but I'm not sure

Samantha stood up for Ruby, and she wanted Ruby to stand up for her back. Then she got her mind erased... :(
