ABANDONED. Sci-Fi (or adjacent), community where everyone is blind and there is a girl who plays the piano

I read this a few years ago, maybe 2015? But I think it's older than that. It must be sci-fi because I remember there being space travel. There's a community where everybody is blind. I believe the plot centers around a boy in this community who gains his sight somehow (?) and realizes the elders in the community can also see. Also, there's a girl from the community who is a really good musician - I'm pretty sure a pianist - and someone comes to the community and takes her away to make her famous. And she gets these beautiful mechanical eyes but isn't satisfied with them.
