Do you want to read both books at the same time or do one then the other? Do you have a preference for which to start first?
We can read both books at the same time. Do we want to do number of pages per day or number of chapters per day?

We can read both books. I'd prefer to read it by chapters. Sixth Grave on the Edge has 24 chapters which means reading 6 chapters a day. The Catcher in the Rye has 26 chapters which means reading 5 chapters a day. Is this acceptable?
Oh Jaclynn, sorry to hear that you were sick. I'd prefer chapters honestly. I've found that it's easier no matter the page count. I'll start later tonite.
Hello hello everyone, Angie thanks for the invite, would someone like to tell me how buddy reads work in here for this group? How are we doing this? I pretty much devour books in a day or two so if we need to read together by chapters I'll need to know lol.
Welcome Danielle! Some buddy reads use the number of pages a day. While others prefer to use chapters~that's the method we'll be using. It's only 6 chapters per day then leave your impression of those chapters read along with spoilers in case some is as far as you chapter wise. See my example in the next post.
Finished reading first six chapters. Charley notices something different about her dad. (view spoiler)

Also have you started? When is this starting? I'm in the middle of another book and I'm not one to read two at the same time lol jw.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Read at your own pace don't worry if you can't start right away."Cool, I'm having trouble with the one I'm in right now, so perhaps I do need to change genre and go back once I finish, so I think I might start tomorrow. :)
Hi! Thanks for the add, Angie. I have not been in the mood to read because of the crappy things happening in my real-life. But I went ahead and started it this morning and realized how much I miss being pulled out of my problems and getting thrown into another world. I love Charley, and of course yummy Reyes and I am really enjoying this... even though I am only on chapter 4 I think. She just agreed to help Mr.Joyce, and Reyes doesn't want her to do the dangerous thing she plans to do.
I wish I could sit and read all day, but I have work and some more stressful family stuff to deal with. I will pop in this thread when I can.
Welcome Berta! Glad your enjoying Charley. I agree with you about Charley and dangerous things. I'm not I like Mr. Joyce honestly I know he needs help but why is it aways Charley's job.
I just love Charley and all of the crazy she gets into. I was so excited when my library finally got this book in. These books sort of remind me of the Stephanie Plum series, with a supernatural kick.I don't know how to unhide the spoilers.

You do the less than sign and type spoiler, no spaces, then the greater than sign right after. Then type your spoiler with spaces and normal. When you're done you do the same thing except after the less than sign you do a slash / that one and type spoiler and do the greater than sign. And if you click on the spoiler you click in the little spoiler button again and it'll hide it. I think lol.
I just started I'm in chapter two right now.
I love Charley, I read Charley first and I asked in the recs for things like Charley and people suggested Stephanie plum, so during summer reading program I received a free book and picked book 1 of that series. Haven't read it yet, we moved and the book is....somewhere. Lol. I also thought KAs Rock Chick was like it as well without the paranormal. I loved it, but then I have heard a lot do KA's books are similar so I've been steering clear...

(view spoiler) I don't like Captain Eckart but was glad that he held Charley steady down the tram though.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "[spoilers removed] I don't like Captain Eckhart but was glad that he held Charley steady down the tram though."I totally agree I wish that wasn't happening either, and it sometimes makes me want to question (view spoiler) this is safe for you to read Angie lol.
Normally I'd have posted my chapter and a thought or comment but there weren't many. So I gave an overall at the end lol.
I look at when I'm closer to finishing the book. No worries. If you're interested We are also reading The Catcher in the Rye next week. I have another buddy for A Witch With No Name later in the month as well.

Thanks though.
My sister just started this today or actually a few mins ago. We can't remember the bridge incident in the last book, I read it in march so could someone refresh?
It's where the psycho killer to Charley and tried to rape her until Reyes showed up did his usual trick. Swopes found her before Ubie did though.
