This topic is for those who wish to discuss the book in progress. No spoilers please!

Cheryl | 1171 comments I have read this book already, but would like to encourage others to read it. It's very good. I do want to mention that you can see it's one of King's earlier books, because the first 3 chapters (after the prologue) are pretty unpolished and initially put me off of reading the book. The writing does get alot better after that. So, don't decide if you like it or not until you've read past that.

I'm at the part where Susan and Mark are about to go into the house. I've read this before and I know what happens. (view spoiler) This is the section of the book where I get the most stressed out.

Sarah (sarahmott) | 466 comments Still waiting on the library hold list for this one. A lot of people like this book in Portland! That must be why we named our capital city after it.

It's a good month to read it!

Cheryl | 1171 comments I think you will enjoy it, Sarah.

Sarah (sarahmott) | 466 comments I got a message from Goodreads saying they are interviewing Stephen King for the November newsletter. The interview will be here when they publish it: http://www.goodreads.com/voice they were asking for people to volunteer questions, so I wrote: "Which antagonist best represents Evil Stephen King"

Cool.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I read this over 20 years ago. I think it was my first Stephen King. I really should re-read it.

Sarah (sarahmott) | 466 comments What are everyone’s favorite King novel? I think it’s Carey for me.
