Forgot to mention this in the E&E sections of this reread discussion but can we just take a moment to appreciate Gail's skill at naming her characters? I absolutely love the names she's given some of her mains.

Faves: Dimity, Phineas B. Crow and Lord Dingleproops. You can tell just by hearing Dimity's name that she's a very dainty, lady-like girl who has a little bit of awkwardness to her. It fits her so well.

Phineas B. Crow is a name that just screams mischief, a little bit in the way Artful Dodger is a scamp. And Dingleproops is just a fun name to say over and over in your head for a giggle. It's almost a mockery of the pretentious British aristocrat names - names that sound truly ridiculous but demand respect because of the 'Lord' preceding it. Not sure if that is supposed to be a hint about his character and means Dingleproops isn't to be taken that seriously in the rest of the series or not.
