4.***Heidi leert de wereld kennen from Johanna Spyri. I bought this little booklet (part 2 of heidi) in the local thriftshop for 0,25 euro cent
Updated message 6-- 1st to Die (I probably got it at Goodwill but I am not sure-- it's been on the shelf a long time)And I just realized that this is a Quarterly Challenge. I have been only reading 2nd hand books because I thought I had to finish by 09/30. Well, at least I have a good head start.
I am on my second book for this challenge... doing plenty of reading, just mostly library loans. Eventually will be caught up and reading more used books just in time for this challenge to be over.
- What: Siege of Darkness by R.A. Salvatore- Where: (probably) Library Big Book Sale
- How much: (probably) $0.50
- Current challenge score: 2

I am hesitant to count this (in my head) as a "proper" Stephen King book since it was initially a TV screenplay. I may have started a publication-order Stephen King read and wondering if I should include this when it comes up.

I though it was good 4/5 but if you seen the series, you have read the book. It is exactly the same.

11***Saartje Tadema from Thea Beckman. Bought at second hand book sellers in the local mall for 3 euro.
Finally started this challenge:#1 The Troop by Nick Cutter - Picked this book up at a 2nd hand bookstore for $1.95 CAD
Scary & disturbing story. I couldn’t put it down.
#2 The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - paid $2 for this book at Value Village (thrift store)
#3 Coraline by Neil Gaiman - another $2 purchase from Value Village thrift store
I am failing miserably at this challenge. That is, I’m reading a pretty long 2nd hand paperback purchase but it’s taking forever to finish and it’ll be my first one.

I am eternally 4-books deep on library loans that I feel I have to read before getting to my for-keeps stuff. Maybe in November... if I stop getting more library books....
#1Book: Tick Tock
Author: Dean Koontz
Bought it at the book market
Paid 1,50 €
#2
Book: A quiet belief in Angels
Author: R.J Ellory
Found at the mini library
Paid 0,00 €
2 points (yay! lol)

Updated message 6-- 18/25 Exit Wounds-- not sure where I picked this up, but I paid $1.00 (price sticker on front)
Working on book 3 for this thing! lol. At least my library loans have shrunk significantly. I have a solo vacation coming up (i.e. no family/kids, just me, nothing to do but whatever I want for at least 72 hrs plus some evenings) and I plan to knock out several books.

Oh, I forgot!- What: The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett (book club hardcover edition)
- Where: Library Big Book Sale
- How much: US$1
- Current challenge score: 3
Updatedd message 5-- 20/25-- Jewels of the Sun; I bought this at Pam's Paperbacks (it's stamped inside the cover), a local bookstore that has been closed for years, so this one has been on my shelf awhile.
I finally finished my first book in this challenge! 1/4 - Downbelow Station by CJ Cherryh is a book hot hat has been on my shelf longing to be read for so long I have no idea where I got it or how much I paid for it. Chances are, though, that I bought it in Madison, WI at the Frugal Muse for not more than $4 (half the cover price), probably less.
