i think thats a dumb questions :) haha, I think the correct question is, who was cruel enough to NOT be upset about Dobbys death? It totally killed me!

You know, Emma Watson actually broke down crying when she read the part when Dobby died.

It was horrible. I went yo check the video immeadiately after reading the scene. And I was so upset. Curses was in the air. Dobby was my favorite character after reading/watching hisbm scebne with Harry and Lucius at the end of the Chamber of Secrets. The only character that brought me to tears the entire series. RIP Dobby. You are a free elf. :(

Dobby's death was terrible. I cried when I first read it and I am usually not one to be moved to tears easily. I felt like he was a strong-willed and very resilient character but he still preserved an innocence about him that I always loved.

I thought it was very sad when Dobby died too, but I think its important to remember - he died happy - he was helping his best friend, Harry Potter.

I cried a lot when Dobby died.He was so lovable and helped Harry a lot.

I was so so so sad when Dobby left, but I applaud J.K. Rowling for killing Dobby. I am sure she was very sad when Dobby died as well. I mean who wouldn't be? He was such a kind,caring,funny character. But his death made you relize this is a war. Even the kindest of people or elves can die. It was a wake-up call for the people of the wizarding world and for the reader. Anyone can die. Anyone can suffer. Dobby's death was an unexpected one. This made us know what was going on in the wizarding world better.

worst death hands down. the others were sad but this one BROKE MY HEART INTO A MILLION FRAGMENTS DANCED ON MY SOUL THREW ME TO THE SHARKS IN A MEAT FLAVORED SACK AND ROLLED ME DOWN THE CLIFF INTO HADES!!! long story short it killed me.

it was extremely upsetting and not fair, Dobby suffered so much in his life and he suffered a very painful death too when he was just a sweet sweet thing.

I was upset. Dobby was loyal to harry and helped him in every way possible.

Yeah it was so terrible when he died, I even cried and my gradma kept saying "they are only characters, they are not real".... That only made it worse.

I agree, dobby was so lovable and put Harry before his own safety time and again, it was heart breaking when he died.
