2nd to None (Team 2)

Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease. I have a distant family member suffering with it as well and it is so hard to watch. She no longer knows who her children are the majority of the time and never recognizes her grandchildren. My thoughts go out to you and your family. *hugs*

37+38=75-40=35.
35 = Short Line – Read a book between 150 and 200 pages long.
I'm reading The Lost World.

Go Debra! You are our team's reading machine :)

No worries. I found a purple book. At my library the books are rebinded with hard covers and the original cover is put inside. So to find a book based on a cover color, you need to open each book to the first page... It can be quite time consuming. The Agatha Christie editions they have are quite colorful so I tried my luck there. And it payed off :). I found Cat Among the Pigeons. It can't get more purple than that. So I am set for my third book.
Btw, I won't be very active at the end of the toppler either. I am flying to Berlin for the weekend (but will read on the plane!) to visit my boyfriend. I will make sure to finish the book and report it here though.

I've gotten pretty lucky with my rolls and have been able to read fairly small books. Plus, most have been page-turners and quick reads. It helps I've had some time off work, too. So, all I've been doing is reading, reading, reading! lol

That is awesome! My husband will be out of the house all day tomorrow (Saturday) so I'm planning to get an early start and follow your lead. :D

Now, what to do? I am toying with rolling again but I do not dare. I have about an hour left on my audio. I could do a short one still as i will have tasks that allow me to listen today. But i cannot wait as i cannot take the time to gopher once i am at work. And if i hit a chance, i will not have and answer from J'mon in time. So i am going to pass... The 2 books i am on will be my last ones. I should finish my paper one tonight and my audio this morning.

These minus points really demotivate going for an additional book. But it is fine with me if you guys want to risk it. At the end it is all about the pleasure of reading :)
Besides, destiny favors the brave!

The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific

Not sure about rolling again - will see in an hour or so how my current one is doing.

Fingers crossed for finishing :-)

Go team! 24 hours to go. let's finish these tasks!

I hate when I'm not enjoying a book. I've been very lucky this week with my choices and tasks. Most have been riveting and kept me up past my bed-time!

If anyone knows they're not going to be able to finish a book in time post it here - there may be someone who can pick it up! This is one area where my time zone is a boon, as I can read right up to the deadline, hehe. ^^v

I am sure i would have found something eventuaĺly but Helen save me hours of hunting. (Did i said how much i like her?)"
LOL! That's the good part of teamwork.

This sounds really good, and if I ever feel up to reading something gruesome I'll give this one a try.

and 6 books to go... I am almost done with mine. Even if I fall asleep on it tonight, I will have plenty of time in the morning...

Now, what to do? I am toying with rolling again but I do no..."
I'm so sorry about your aunt. That's such a horribly sad situation when the person you know is gone, and you're not sure what they're feeling or thinking.

If that doesn't work, I could read The Fifth Mountain. I will have to get the ebook, but I hope that in that case the tp goodreads cover counts.
