I've only read the first book, L.A. Candy, and while I kind of liked it, I was kind of annoyed by how similar it was to Lauren's reality show, The Hills. I expected some more variety and plot twists.

The characters were likeable enough, and while I thought that I wouldn't finish the series, I did purchase the second book at a second hand store. I kind of want to finish them now and move on to the spin-off series.
