When Penelope Longacre, Estelle’s Aunt, is introduced to the story, what did you make of her initially, especially her relationship with her brother? Did you suspect that Norman was really her son?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I guessed right away that Norman was her son, and not just a child that she had raised. She let us know that she and her brother did not get along at all. At first I thought she wanted her brother's fortune, but I quickly figured out that he had raped her in the past, before he replaced her with is daughter. Therefore, Norman was also his son.

I suspected he was her son but it took me a long time to figure out Horace was his father...that he’d raped his own sister. I think it was when I realized he’s been sexually assaulting his daughter that I figured that out.
