Tell us a few things about yourself.

--> I'll break the ice. I have a home page that's gotten weedy. I teach Practical Buddhism and haiku at Stanford Continuing Studies & Creative Critical Reflection in the global hybrid program at Sofia University (formerly Institute of Transpersonal Psychology [ITP]. Am a goodreads author. Lay ordained in the Order of Interbeing, I host a weekly mindfulness practice group in the tradition of Thích Nhất Hạnh & Plum Village.

For past 5 years, I've been host of Haiku Corner, which goes thru typical peaks & troughs. Now launching & maintaining this site to give back to the community which enlivens & enriches me. To quote Howard Rheingold :

what it is,
is,
up to us.

Current interests : BuddhaDharma, creativity, evolutionary psychology, ecopsychology (Gaia, deep ecology + earth-based traditions), haiku, peeragogy, engaged spirituality, community, family dynamics, peace building, somatics, qi gong, Goethe's scientific writings (&, thus, morphology & phenomenology), mindfulness, literary translation ( particularly Chinese & Persian poetry ), & the sonorous colorful flock of wild parrots flying outside my window right now

May all beings be well. _/|\_

David Anderson | 1 comments Hello my name is David "StarrTouch" Anderson.
I am at Life-Coach, Yoga Instructor, and Clinical Counselor. Additionally I am enrolled in Ph.D. Psychology program at Sofia University (Formally the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology).

My specialty and perhaps greatest talent is helping people put themselves back together after a trauma and rebuild as the new person they have become. Thus to releases the idea of who they used to be and take here and now pragmatic action to reclaim their life and become greater than they once were. The pop culture buzz word for this I believe is to 'Thrive'. My website and brand if you will, is http://SurvivorToHero.com

Dan Cohen | 2 comments Hi, my name is Dan Cohen. I am 63 years old and have been a "doer" much of my life. I have been a neurologist (MD), a successful entrepreneur and inventor (including technology developed over the past 18 years that induces greater spiritual embodiment and deep meditative states), but my greatest passion has been my quest to experience/be/know Self. I am also a GR author and enjoy reading books about spiritual experience. The clinician in me is always looking for clues. I look forward to participating in this group as I seek community. If you are interested in learning more about me visit http://www.ToolsToAwaken.com or http://www.AddictedtomyEgo.com.

Dr Cohen, you're the first person to join the conference in five months ... and I regret to inform that it's become fairly inactive ... unless you might wish to become the moderator ... Thank you for your interest, & your work.

Dan Cohen | 2 comments Gary, sorry to hear that. I'm new to this process, so taking over as moderator seems a bit too foreign. Are there any other similar, but more active groups that you would recommend?
