Discuss Chapter 24 - Chapter 26

NOTE: While this section is meant to focus on the specified chapters of this book, this read is meant for people who have already read the entire series.

As a result, unlike most of our group reads, full spoilers for the series will be allowed without spoiler tags in every discussion post.

If you haven't read some/all of the books (What's wrong with you?) proceed at your own peril.

Dara (cmdrdara) Ch. 24
-I've grown to love Hermione even more on this re-read (if you haven't noticed).

-How can Rita print the shit that she writes? Her editor must be in the pocket of somebody to allow it.

-I feel for Hagrid so much. Poor guy.

Ch. 25
-Myrtle is creeeeep.

-I wonder why the map doesn't distinguish between Crouch junior and senior.

-Why the hell doesn't Harry use accio to get the map to wipe it? He had a few seconds before Filch showed up. Could have left the egg since it attracted Filch anyway. If it were me, I would have carried the egg in a small bag. It'd be hard to carry the egg, hold the map, and keep the Invisibility Cloak in place.

-Moody plants the Auror seed in Harry's brain.

Ch. 26
-The second task is my least favorite task.

-Why did Harry leave his robes on? That had to have made swimming more difficult than necessary.

-How could Harry be so stupid to think that Dumbledore would let the other hostages die? Seriously. So dumb. But moral fiber and whatnot...

-There's that damn beetle again.

Scott (thekeeblertree) | 1049 comments I thought the same thing about the map. You'd think it would throw a junior in there.

Suzanne | 1582 comments Oh I forgot about that bathroom! That sounds so wonderful. The "tub" is big enough to swim in - and so many taps - made me wonder if it is a private bath =0
