Jay | 4 comments Okay. So I'm pretty sure this was from a book, but I really can't remember. What I do remember is:
It started off with this guy, and he has a girlfriend named Zelda. And to be even more ambiguous, one of the two- either the guy or Zelda- owns the apartment they are in, and the other one is leaving and also carrying a box of CDs. I *think* one of them is on the phone (possibly with their parents?) at the same time.
Its not much to go off of, but I can't remember anything else and no matter how I reword it, I can't find any results on Google. I'm 98% sure it was from a book, but the 2% of uncertainty could be because I might have read it online. I cannot recall.
I would greatly appreciate the help if someone knows what this is from!!! Thank you in advance! :)

Jay, around what year did you read this book?
Mostly drama/angsty, funny, suspenseful, etc.?
For teens, young adults, older adults?
Set in a big city, small town, etc.?
What makes this book memorable?

Jay | 4 comments Honestly I really don't remember much about it... I would have to say I read it sometime in the past 3 years, but it was probably published earlier. I'm not sure about the genre, as I only remember the one scene in the apartment. Setting-wise, I belive the apartment was in a big city, like Chicago (I'm not saying it was Chicago, I'm just saying a large, popular city).
I don't think I ever finished the book, for if I did, I would have remembered more that one part.
I know I am not providing much information. I'm sorry......
Thank you for your help. --Jay.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Jay, what genre of books do you normally read? That way we can eliminate things like romances, mysteries, etc, for example.

message 6: by Jay (new)

Jay | 4 comments I prefer fiction- teen/young adult. So it'll probably be in one of those categories.

SarahBeth | 86 comments It's a long shot, but maybe Reamde by Neil Stephenson Reamde by Neal Stephenson

The girlfriend's name is Zula

message 8: by Jay (new)

Jay | 4 comments Nope. It wasn't Reamde by Stephenson (although that looks like a pretty good book!). But no, I'm absolutely certain the girlfriend's name was Zelda.
