I've reported the spammer and deleted all the threads. I usually check the group a few times a day, but if it happens again feel free to shoot me a private message and I'll come and clean it up again.

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5197 comments Thanks much for clearing it out. Many forums let it go for days.

Oh yeah and not that it will matter, because I'm sure it's a throwaway account, but they've been banned from the group too. Totally forgot I could do that. ^_^

Sean O'Hara (seanohara) | 2365 comments Sorry, I love you guys, but the idea of sitting around eating massive spam with you disgusts me in the pit of my stomach.

Sean Lookielook Sandulak (seansandulak) | 444 comments Aww… Now where will I get my black magic love potions from? Seriously though, thanks Rob. I was going to send you a message, but when I saw there were eight different threads, I assumed it would be hard to miss. I did flag them all. Hopefully, Goodreads will block that idiot's IP.

Is that what the spam was for? I didn't bother to read it.

And sadly I doubt blocking the IP would help anything.

Your probably right about the IP, but what else can you do? The spam itself was epically hilarious. It was some guy (I assume it was a guy. The username was just a random jumble of letters.) in India selling charms, potions, and black magic spells, mostly to get back with and/or curse your cheating partner and for *ahem* "performance" issues.

Gard Skinner (gard_skinner) It makes you wonder if you could whip up something like that as a book and sell it somehow. If nothing else it could be a list of gross things to put in your cheating/underperforming partner's food and drink.

John (Nevets) Nevets (nevets) | 1903 comments That could be hilarious. Like the list of hobo names in Hodgeman's book.

Any self-respecting sorcerer doesn't need a spam-spewing web robot to get the message out. You don't have to be clairvoyant to know that.
