Well it took about a half a day to read. She doesn't have the smarts of Lisbeth Salander but she'll do anything. It's a young adult book. Anybody else have an opinion on Lumilli?
I loved all the books written by Lars Kepler and I am always on the lookout for new ones. Where did you purchase The Sandman from? I looked for it but the only places I found it was on Amazon shipped from outside the US and a nook version at Barnes and Noble. Is there any other place here in the US that sells it?
Amazon has it many states. You're not looking under the right price guide. That is for hardcopy, paperback has a different publication date.
Just need to vent my fustration on the way books are translated and released to the public. I was soooo looking forward to the second (first) book of Pierre Lemaitre ("Alex"). I saw that finally Amazon was offering it. After reading the reviews, I see that "Irene" should have been read first. Just about every review says "need to read "Irene" first". I guess I'll have to wait until the library has it. Not going to waste money on something that may be disappointing.
I was wondering if anyone is aware of a web site (similar to fantastic fiction) that lets you know of newly released Nordic crime fiction?
Got Autumn Killing: A Thriller by Mons Kallentoft from the library. Will have it read in the coming week.

Now that I have read Irene I can honestly say it did not hinder in anyway to enjoy Alex at all. Since its a case by case the story has no relation except getting to know the character better. Some people prefer to read series in order but since we can only depend on translated publication who often determine the release base on sales I just lost patience!
Thank you for your feedback, ???!!!. I really enjoyed all the characters in the book and the storyline itself. I was hoping Alex wasn't the only book of the series.
Malin has all these voices coming at her all the time. It's a wonder that she isn't batty. (Autumn Killing).
Finally read The Long Shadow by Liza Marklund. Was it funny that I saw a movie about 3 or 4 years ago, though I'm not surprised, and it was the book prior to being published in English this month. Sort of sad, there's books out their waiting to be translated and the movie comes out first. Can't wait for Borderline to come out.
I just got my copy of Helsinki Noir in the mail. Not sure how that happened as it isn't supposed to come out until November, I guess Books-A-Million just shipped it early. Can't wait to read it!(I know this is really a November read, but just wanted to post as it isn't up yet.)
