Hello, Miss Ee! I can't remember if it's mentioned in Angelfall or World After, but how did Raffe learn English? He speaks it pretty well for someone who isn't of this world, much less a native speaker. Did someone teach him? Did he learn from observing human media (i.e. television, radio, books, etc.)? Or is English simply the default language of the angels, considering that the other angels use it while talking amongst themselves? Sorry for the wordy question, but it's something that's tickled my curiosity for a long time now.
is it possible that Penryn can actually earn an angel-warrior status?

Thanks, Zully! I prefer it quiet while I'm writing, but I do listen to music during later stages of editing. My playlist for the series is all from Two Steps from Hell. :)

Hi! I consider Angelfall and World After my favorite YA books, I love them. Thank you for your amazing imagination and creativity.Do you know if the books will be translated to portuguese any time soon?
Have you thought doing the story, or part of it, with the mom's perspective? She is (kind of) crazy, but also so clever that I was curious to know more of her and her sister, Paige.
And finally, is said that the archangel Raphael has healing powers. Will Raffe have some kind of healing powers in the books?

I try not to push them one direction or another. If I did, they'd resist. They're pretty headstrong. :)

Thanks, HurrikanKathrina! I think Dee-Dum are the most fun to write because I just let them say whatever they want to say. Not much filtering/editing with those guys. :) That doesn't mean they'll take a bigger role. It just means I have fun with them.

I think Angelfall is already out in Brazil in Portuguese, which I think means it should also be out in Portugal. If not, it should be soon. Please ask your local bookstore. If they don't have it in stock, they can probably order it for you. Your bookstore can probably check when World After will come out in your country as well. Thanks!

Hi Susan, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.1) Not sure if this has been answered, will we ever find out what exactly happened between Paige and her mom many years ago to end up in a wheelchair? (Since, Penryn was not at home at that time) Or is it something left to a reader's interpretation.
2) After almost finishing with Book #3 (YAY), have you decided how many total books there will be in this series? Just wondering if there will be 4 or 5 books.

Hi SusanI want to say thank you for bringing these extraordinary characters to life. I cannot remember ever feeling this passionate about any other books that I have read before. I found myself checking your website almost constantly looking for updates. You are extremely gifted. The only question I have for you now is: Is Gabriel going to figure into the future storyline? I cannot believe that he is not going to be a bigger part of the picture. He was briefly spoken about in the beginning, and as hard as it is to kill an angel, I cannot believe he was taken out so easily. Raffe needs some heavy back up. Thank you once again for such a wonderful story.
I've always been curious about what age-range Raffe appears to be. Any chance you'll tell us, or are you leaving that to the readers' imaginations? :)Thanks for writing such wonderful books!

How do you get your writing so natural and flowing? How did you write the ending for Angelfall? Despite it being so shocking it somehow didn't feel out of place.

I'm currently finishing up the edits for book 3. Once everything is done--copyedits, proofing, etc.--then I'll let myself think about the next story. It would all be too exciting for me otherwise!

Angels in zoot suits with cigars and alcohol. How did you come up with that idea? The Angel Mafia is certainly unique. What was going through the two guards heads in Angelfall when they were checking out Penryn? What about Uriel when he first spotted her in the Aerie?
