This book is incredible, but the series as a whole is magnificent. Funny and well-written and action-packed and suspenseful. Love it!

Ok so I just finished the first book and throughout I'm still deciphering why she was titled "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" when I was reading on the first chapters I had the thought of she being a mixed breed angel/demon , and after finishing the first book all I could come up was.

Smoke and Bone hmmmmm

Because through
"My I don't know how I got this Theory"
Smoke / Gleaning she was able to be reborn as Karou? or gave her a new life

Bone cause the Wishbone contained the other missing part of Her. Madrigal

Although the word Hope/To Hope keeps popping in my head when I think of Wishbone , to hope which then had no correlation to "Smoke" if Hope was for Bone...

I'm just kinda confused of trying to decipher the part wherein Brimstone looked at Madrigal, and something started to take shape out of magic and will. "Smoke and Bone"

I'm not sure about the title either, except that I like the way it sounds :)

Its really intriguing me cause that was suppose to be the purpose of the first book right ? hahaha to know Who and Why she is the Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I hope someone can enlighten this and that my somewhat theories are not that way off.

just started the first few pages, gonna wait to start prob fri/ unless I get some reading time weds and Thurs. I just finished the 5th wave and the infinite sea, dont wanna jump right in to another series. I've done that and sometimes it doesn't work out good

OK 57 pages in. so far I like it but am having to get used to the writing style and all these crazy names :)

Haha The crazy names are the reason I quit the second book because more characters are introduced with even crazier names and I was listening to the audiobook and I just couldn't keep it all straight!! Why can't fantasy characters still have names like Bob and Mary? lol

lol yes! all the crazy names and the crazy words messes me up. glad I'm not the only one lol

I've read till book 2 of Mortal Instruments, and for those who've read that book aswell you'll get the same vibe because of the character relationships

so I'm finally getting into this book, to where I don't want to put it down. again, the whole angel.thing made me wary, but I likes it :)
