A Mushy Thread

I've been having a bit of a low time at the moment, nothing serious or worth mentioning - just general life stuff I am not dealing with in the best of ways - and sometimes this leads to sentimentality, so apologies if this is weird, but I wanted to say how much I appreciate this group. It is full of thoughtful, interesting people and I love reading what everyone has to say and interacting whenever I feel like it. Discussions seldom become unpleasant here, and we all seem to make an effort to treat each other with respect which makes it a great little refuge from the nastier parts of the internet. So I wanted to say thank you to everyone that makes this group such a pleasant place to hang out. You guys are great!

Not the least reason because I’ve been having a pretty rough year and a MONUMENTALLY terrible summer and Ruth send me a lovely note which I received as a virtual hug that I really needed.

So yes, thank you to all of you in general and to Ruth (tilltab) in particular. 😊

No not weird. :-) This is one of the friendliest forums I have been a part of.

Even as moderator I do very little moderating. I delete the odd bit of spam, move threads to the right section.

Coming here is always fun and cheers me up if I've had a bad day.

I concur. This group is easily one of my favorite places on the internet, a rare bubble of respect and pleasant discussion. To echo what others have said, you've all cheered me up when I needed it and have made me feel like a valued member of this community. Thanks to all of you for being such wonderful people!

It's not weird at all, and I totally agree. It's wonderful being able to have civil discussion on the internet, and even when I'm not commenting because I was a little late with the book, I love reading everyone's comments.
