Daniel Parsons | 5 comments bought a book around 13 yrs ago at Barnes&Noble and I can't remember the name or the author. It was close to 1000 pages, I only got to read the first 60 before losing it during a move. It started with a guy I think was a dark elf or some sort like that and he was running/hiding from people. He had sustained injuries and was in an old ruin of some sort to rest and use magic to heal, the cover shows a guy sitting in ruins of a bullding, I think the guy was dark purplish gray (and its not Drizzt. Looked at the stories and covers. Nothing matches) and had a raven or crow that I think he could see through its eyes or used magic of another sort to see where his enemies were looking for him. I remember him being a prince or someone else of royal blood.

Thanks for the help.

Trike Sounds like Michael Moorcock’s Elric as painted by Michael Whelan to me.

Daniel Parsons | 5 comments yes, thats one of the issues is not knowing if it was a singular story or an omnibus. Its crazy to think I can remember what I remember while not seeming to remember anything, but I only got to read 60 pages and the story didnt move much through them.

Evaine | 2 comments This is just a shot in the dark, but this is where my mind went when you described the cover. Black Sun Rising

And even if it's not, it's really a great book! :)
