hmmm. I dunno if this qualifies at all, but the fifth wave is kiiinndddd of like that ish :) haha, none of the guys are brooding though. And the book isn't paranormal *shrugs* It was the first, and kind of only, thing that came to mind. so yeaahhhh
I think there is a love triangle (more like pentagon) in Riley Jenson Guardian series . The first book is Full Moon Rising
has like a 'love hexagon'...I really enjoy it, and want at least 3 of the boys in my personal fictional harem.
The best love triangle that actually resolves in a most creative way is the one in Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices. The epilogue of the last book is unforgettable.
Also not PN, but Georgette Heyer's bookThese Old Shades sort of has this. But then, again, I like the "bad boys" in romance books. I wouldn't have one if you paid me in rl, but in a book, where I know that I don't have to put up with him, they are great.
Infernal devices is probably the best love triangle in modern literature. I thought Hunger Games had guy #2 getting the girl, though the love story is not as prominent in the plot as most other books.

Yes, I agree. Infernal Devices was fantastic. I still get a tear in my eye just thinking about that epilogue.
Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series has a love triangle between brothers but the 2nd doesn't really come into romantic play until a couple of books in. It's the only series I can think of where the MC changes her mind and doesn't end up with guy #1.

That's what I'm looking for, basically. I want to find a book where maybe, just maybe, she ends up with the second guy (who usually is less broody and better for her anyway). Has anyone read anything like that? I would love to hear from you.
Or, if you don't have any suggestions, perhaps just a couple of your favorites in general.
Thank you!
