ABANDONED. Paranormal romance! Vampires! Goth witch is a sub character

So this was a book I read probably sometime between 2005-2008. I remember a few vague details. Lead woman is turned by a head vampire (?). He also has a goth human witch woman with him. I believe she's kinda mean to Lead woman. She ends up meeting another vampire who she's into. HV ends up trying to kill her by ripping her heart out (?) And the other vampire ends up using a wire hanger to close her chest back up. I think its a series.
