Francesca is really Pippa Hargrave.

Julia was the blackmailer. She was Marchand’s lover, beginning at age fifteen. She witnessed him raping Alexandra as well as her killing him. In her stupid brain, she considered Alexandra as a rival for her lover. She just wanted to hurt Alexandra.

Patrick hired Forsythe to kill both Piers and Alexandra. He wanted Piers’ fortune.

There was a showdown at the dig site where Julia had directed Alexandra meet her. Patrick shot Alexandra and Piers killed him and Forsythe. Forsythe blew Julia’s head off. (hide spoiler)]
