Serena Akeroyd (serenaakeroyd) | 24 comments Hi! :)
I have a series of short stories that I wanted to amalgamate into the one book, but apparently, that's not allowed. If that's the case, I want to update the covers, please. But I don't want to lose all my reviews. :( Is this possible? I wanted to recycle the old covers for some new stories in a few months' time, so I have a single cover for four of the stories and another for the other four. If I can't do this, can I delete the cover completely?
thanks for your advice :)

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments Hi again Serena,

I'll try explain more clearly this time :)

1. To add new covers for the existing novellas, you simply add new editions for each book. As author, you can then select the default edition (the one that shows up first for anyone searching by name). The instructions to do that are here:
https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...
All the reviews will remain.

2. To add the omnibus/collected versions, just add them as new books. We can add them to the series too, if you post which numbers in the original 1-9 series they cover.

3. When you have new stories, you add those. It doesn't matter to GR if they have the same covers.

But we can't remove the covers from the existing stories in any case but note this is not really an issue, readers/GR users are perfectly good at figuring out how to add the edition they actually have.

But essentially, once a book is published and has a GR catalogue entry, it stays. Changes to covers, titles, authors, are all new editions, always.
