Murder With Puffins (Meg Langslow, #2) by Donna Andrews Murder With Puffins
Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos (Meg Langslow, #3) by Donna Andrews Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos

I am really enjoying listening to the Meg Langslow series. Now if Hoopla would only get the next two in the series!

I finished A Fatal Fleece by Sally Goldenbaum A Fatal Fleece (A Seaside Knitters Mystery, #6) by Sally Goldenbaum yesterday - so all ready to start my October challenge!

message 66: by Meg (new)

Meg (makeli2) | 1534 comments Finished my second this past week; loved it. Have next one on the WL.

message 67: by QNPoohBear (new)

QNPoohBear | 1195 comments I ended up reading most of the books I had chosen anyway! It was fun to get the push I needed to start some new series. I wasn't crazy about the Baker Street mysteries. They need more history and more Peanut the Pomeranian. The Murder on Location series is good but has little to do with Jane Austen.

message 68: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia | 96 comments I finished my first book. A Pocket Full of Rye (Miss Marple, #7) by Agatha Christie

message 69: by QNPoohBear (new)

QNPoohBear | 1195 comments I read Pineapple Gingerbread Men (Pineapple Port Mysteries #7) by Amy Vansant . It was OK but I didn't care for the storytelling format. It jumps around back and forth in time and lets the reader in on the secrets. There's a dark subplot that takes up too much of the book in order to set up the next novel and not enough dogs for me. What I found most charming about the first book in the series was how Charlotte's Wheaten Terrier Abby found body parts.

message 70: by Sharon (new)

Sharon PLB (sharonlpb) | 234 comments Linda C, thanks again for picking Agatha Raisin for me. I actually read three of them this month! And she's going back on my list for October. Of course, it's still the "luck of the draw."

message 71: by Zermeena (new)

Zermeena | 725 comments I finished both my books for September. I enjoyed my time in the Magical Bakery.

message 72: by QNPoohBear (new)

QNPoohBear | 1195 comments I finished my second book Pineapple Puppies (Pineapple Port Mysteries #9) by Amy Vansant . I like Pineapple Port and the elderly residents. Both mysteries were tight but one was tragic. I loved the puppies so much and wanted to play with them and get puppy kisses. I like the growth of the heroine, Charlotte, from ditzy accidental sleuth to a really good private detective.

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I’ve finished my first, Murder on the Orient (SS) (Agatha Christie Book Club, #2) by C.A. Larmer and started the next in the series.

message 76: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia | 96 comments I finished my second book 4.50 from Paddington (Miss Marple, #8) by Agatha Christie on the 28th.

Thanks, Gary. I really enjoyed these a lot. Especially the two alternating viewpoints and historical eras.
