Good reading !

I've read Dark Matter too, but even though I liked it, I found weaknesses in it. And they made the difference between "love" and "like". So it was just a "like" for me. I've read a lot of SF, maybe this is why I'm so demanding. :)

No problem. Sometimes the latecomers sometimes have different points of view that add interesting ideas to our discussion.

Got my book early and read it. Enjoyed it. Agree with Aditya about the writing and a few mistakes but just go with it and enjoy.

Excellent review Aditya!
Danielle, this has nothing to do with the reading of the book but I'm wondering where you first heard of Recursion. It's not brand new but I'd never heard of it.

One of my GR friends was reading it and finding very good. I read other GR members reviews and I thought that it could be an interesting choice for us here.

But I've just finished to read the last book of

Maybe I'll suggest Barker's novel to our Crime, Mysteries & Thrillers

Nice review. I see your points but I thought it was an ok read. Thanks for leading this discussion.

Summary
That’s what New York City cop Barry Sutton is learning as he investigates the devastating phenomenon the media has dubbed False Memory Syndrome—a mysterious affliction that drives its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived.
That's what neuroscientist Helena Smith believes. It’s why she’s dedicated her life to creating a technology that will let us preserve our most precious memories. If she succeeds, anyone will be able to re-experience a first kiss, the birth of a child, the final moment with a dying parent.
As Barry searches for the truth, he comes face-to-face with an opponent more terrifying than any disease—a force that attacks not just our minds but the very fabric of the past. And as its effects begin to unmake the world as we know it, only he and Helena, working together, will stand a chance at defeating it.
But how can they make a stand when reality itself is shifting and crumbling all around them?
