If this comment is from you, you are correct.
I do not understand the harsh conflict and jealousy among siblings.
Physically, siblings are closer biologically than parents because we siblings have the same heredity. We, siblings, are made of the same biological hand-me-downs :)
So we should love each other.

I have two announcements:
1. My novel The Auschwitz Detective is currently the #1 book on Amazon in the Jewish Literature category. Part of the reason is that the ebook version is on sale for just $0.99 for a short time.
2. I've published the audiobook of my novel A Death in Jerusalem. This is the 7th novel in the Adam Lapid series. You can get the audiobook here: https://jonathandunsky.com/products/a...

How do I announce my new novel, Illumination,
to the entire group?

Gary Huber, Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Beth Tikvah had this to say about Illumination: Illumination shines a bright light on the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of American Jews. Rachel Walsh is our engaging guide through the challenges faced by many Jews: the lure of assimilation and secular success, the pain of antisemitism, and the search for a spiritual grounding in the modern world. Richard Lazaroff weaves a compelling multi-generational family saga in which all must seek an answer to the eternal question of faith and a meaningful life.
My novel makes for excellent group discussions and I would make myself available either in person or by Zoom. The newest addition has a list of questions for possible discussion.
All historical events are true. Family is fictional. Some focus on South Haven, Michigan and 1930s reputation as the Catskills of the Midwest. Area developed with help from Chicago Jewish Agricutural Society and the Baron de Hirsch.
Richard wrote: "My name is RIchard Lazaroff, author of Illumination. I have written a novel of historical fiction. It follows a four generational family that immigrated from Kiev in the 1890s to South Haven Michig..."
Hi, Richard. Congratulations, as you have announced your book!
One more thing you can do is add the Goodreads link to the book, which in this case is Illumination. It was a little tricky to find because, it turns out, yours is not the only book with that title. Will tell you how I found it after Shabbat. 🙂

Susan Shalev's "The German Dressmaker" is a captivating novel that deftly portrays the complexities of love, loss, and resilience amidst the backdrop of World War II. The author's beautiful prose brings to life a poignant love story that is both tender and heartrending. Set against the stark realities of war, the book's unforgettable characters and masterful portrayal of real historical events make it a page-turner that is impossible to put down."
The story is not Holocaust-related and much of the narrative takes place in England.

I’ve been meaning to reach out to some of the leading Jewish book clubs and yours looks very impressive indeed, so here goes…
I’m a Tel Aviv-based American-Israeli journalist and author, formerly with Haaretz and Jerusalem Post. My new [first] book, “Palestine 1936: The Great Revolt and the Roots of the Middle East Conflict” came out in February with Rowman & Littlefield. It tells the epic story – for the first time in English – of the 1936-1939 Arab Revolt in Mandate Palestine, the forgotten first “Intifada” that was a seminal event in the birth of Israel and the Middle East conflict, with lasting echoes until today.
The book has been enthusiastically received, with very positive reviews in outlets including the Wall Street Journal and Haaretz.
More shameless self-promotion:
The historian and ex-ambassador Michael Oren has described Palestine 1936 as “the definitive study … Accessible and essential.” The historian Benny Morris called it “Very well-researched, highly readable, and balanced … Highly recommended.” Author Matti Friedman praised it as “ clear, fast-paced, and accessible … a fascinating piece of overlooked history.” And Palestinian scholar and peace activist Prof. Muhammad Dajani hailed it as a “remarkable work. I strongly recommend its translation to Arabic.”
Thanks for listening, and I hope to hear from you!
And of course there is more info here:

Your book is in my queue for purchase. You have chosen an important subject/ event that people love to talk about, but which has received little detailed research focus. I look forward to reading it.

Angela pulls Lev from a prudish existence into a passionate romance that must remain a secret because she is Catholic and he is Jewish. As the young lovers gallivant throughout Brooklyn, and as their devotion to each other builds, they realize that they are headed toward a pivotal crossroad. Can they possibly overcome the seemingly insurmountable differences in their backgrounds? It is a question they must confront if they are ever to have a shared future.
Layered into this love story are themes about identity and longing: how desire—what traditional Judaism calls the Evil Inclination of the title—can define who we think we are. It’s a novel not only about the burdens of tradition clashing with the power of passion, but also about the struggle to understand how the people we fall for can change us in profound and unexpected ways.
PRAISE FOR THE EVIL INCLINATION:
“An exhilarating, spellbinding tale . . . that will surprise, astonish and move you deeply.”
— Joseph Telushkin, best-selling author of Words that Hurt Words that Heal.
“A captivating love story pitting passion against faith. . . an irresistible read. . .”
— Judith Shulevitz, best-selling author of The Sabbath World.
“A riveting -- and surprising -- book about family, faith, lust, heresy, temptation, wisdom and God.”
— Ari Goldman, Professor and author of the best-selling The Search for God at Harvard.

I’d like to bring attention to my book, The Cost of Living and Other Mysteries, https://www.amazon.com/Cost-Living-Ot...? Released last July by Wildside Press.
Within its three sequential novellas format, my Brooklyn-based, elderly orthodox Jewish private detective Frank Wolf, with the assistance of his grandson, Joel, solves mysteries in the Jewish communities of New York City during the 1970s. In "The Cost of Living," a kosher butcher is shot to death in Boro Park, and a youth gang is suspected. Frank Wolf is asked to investigate. In "A Little Boy is Missing," an eight-year old Hasidic child disappears in Williamsburg. Every minute counts, and Frank Wolf rushes to assist in finding him. In "The Dorm Murder," a 16-year-old student is found murdered in a yeshiva high school dormitory with no apparent motive behind his killing. Frank’s past contributes to his understanding the complexities surrounding the crime.
Frank Wolf is a unique Jewish detective. A professor of philosophy in Europe before the Holocaust, he becomes a private detective in Brooklyn after the War. He possesses a personality and investigative mind frame steeped in Jewish and Western tradition and practice. Thus, the worlds he enters in each of the mysteries are different slices of Jewish life for which only a detective like Frank Wolf can make sense of and find resolutions. He never carries a gun, and his weapon of choice is “critical analysis,” an imperative, Frank tells us, for any good detective.
The book and my writings were featured in articles in the Washington Jewish Week and Baltimore Jewish Times:
https://www.washingtonjewishweek.com/...
https://www.jewishtimes.com/saul-golu...
In addition, Hadassah Magazine placed my book on its recommended list for Jewish detective works.
My book was also featured by the celebrated blogger, Deborah Kalb, in her Blog on books, https://deborahkalbbooks.blogspot.com... and reviewed in Jewish Book World, https://jewishbookworld.org/2023/03/f...
If you do read my book, please let me know any thoughts as all reader comments are helpful as I continue to develop stories around my Jewish detective.

The book delves into the rich and complex history of the Jewish people in the Czech lands, spanning from their earliest settlements to the end of the 19th century. This comprehensive work, translated into English for the first time by Kytka Hilmarova, offers readers a meticulous account of the Jewish experience in the region from the years 900 to 1900.
Throughout the book, the challenges and struggles faced by the Jewish community are brought to light, including enduring persecution, discrimination, and violence in Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia. By exploring the intricate relationships between Jews and non-Jews over time, this book provides valuable historical insights into the role of Jews in the Czech lands within the broader context of European history.
History of Jews in the Czech Lands is an important translation of the renowned work, Zidé v zemích Českých, originally written in 1899 by Václav Řezniček. With this translation, readers gain access to previously untold perspectives, making it a valuable resource for scholars, students, and anyone interested in the history of Jews in Europe, particularly within the Czech lands.

No. He showed me that and said he wanted a full book, so that is what we created.
We originally had 400 pages, and we edited it down to around 200 of the best information.
Thank you!

The book chronicles the meetings between the author and Aldo Izzo, the eponymous “Guardian of Memory,” a man who has tended the Venetian Jewish cemeteries for over 30 years. However, this work goes far beyond a mere homage to Aldo Izzo’s tireless work and becomes a sensory journey through the ancient city of Venice that is interleaved with memories and stories of those who have gone before.
As the book progresses, so the strange and, at times, ominous aspects of this history of Venice unfold, thus making this book so much more than a mere walk through the ancient streets of La Serenissima.
Illustrated by evocative black-and-white photos.
