That's a good question Laurla since I was just about to start reading that book. I seem to be having issues this round.
Just to let you know that I will not be able to finish this pair. Got stuck in a shifter book (still have 30% until the end) and didn't read bdsm at all. Sorry.
technically I said no to bunny and the bear last time - since the bear played a main role in the book, but since I didn't see this question, i'll allow it

Shapeshifter: Serpent's Kiss by Thea HarrisonThe shifter in the book is a gryphon shifter. I'm getting back to this series after a long time - sort of forgot the details in book 2 but didn't impact my reading of this much. The books are loosely connected so that there are some consequences of the events that happened in the previous book. I enjoyed this book and I'm definitely picking up the next if only to read the loose ends. The theme was very well done. Overall 4 stars.
BDSM: Wicked Burn by Beth Kery
A really enjoyable book. I'm not sure about the theme - it felt like a BDSM wannabe. Maybe vanilla BDSM. But otherwise, the story was hot and emotional. I loved reading it. 4 stars.
Winner: Shapeshifters because the theme was incorporated well much better than my BDSM book.

Book: Tough Love from Best MM BDSM Books of 2014 Shelf
Author: Heidi Cullinan
Finished: 9/27/14
Theme: 4.5 stars. There are lots of elements of BDSM, kink and humiliation in this story and they're different elements than previous books in this series. Parts of this are intense but the writing of the scenes is great and the reader absolutely understands why the character is turned on by what they're doing
Enjoyment: 3.5 stars. I wasn't crazy about the use of Gordy as a secondary character and it took away from Steve and Chenco's story. It also weakened the appeal of Steve for me.
Total: 4 stars. Really well written, and it's great to see characters from earlier books. It just wasn't my favorite from this series nor from this author.

Theme: 4.5 stars. This is a really different take on a shifter story. Here the premise is that shifters have a virus, some are born with it and others are infected. Neither Roan nor Paris is happy about having to go through a change each month.
Enjoyment: 4.5 stars. There are two mysteries that form the plot in this book. Roan and Paris also have to work through their relationship and the situations they face as "infected" in their society. The writing is great, the characters are amazing and I was so glad to be introduced to this series.
Total: 4.5 stars. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Paris faces even more difficulties since he's been infected with a particular strain of the cat virus that results in early death. How will Roan and Paris handle this change in his health.

I just realized that my shapeshifter book contains a bear... I was so focused on finding a book that wasn't wolves that I just jumped on this one when I found it in my TBR. Since one of the MCs is a bunny, is it still okay for this pairing?
