Hi all! I have a new YA vampire book on the market, Amaranthine, that fans of Twilight or the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles will love. You can get it here: https://www.createspace.com/3847584, and if you use the code M4UEKH85 you can get a $3 discount! Hope you all enjoy it!

Hi everyone!!! :) I'm Storm, I'm fifteen years old, and I absolutely love to read and write. I hope to someday publish a book (you can find it in my writings--it's called "Gifted") and reading is my life. It gives me a place to escape the annoying high school drama and family stresses. My favorite book series is Harry Potter, then Divergent. My favorite book that isn't part of a series is Before I Fall. I find it ironic that I just discovered this group and ended up reading the "Book of the Month" (Wither) at the same time everyone else here did. :PI can't wait to take part of discussions!!!!!!!!! :D
Hey, I'm actually a teenager here :P I tend to divert somewhat from the general opinion of things and I read with a teen's head on my shoulders but also an eye out for my own wellbeing. I joined this group because everyone in here seems to not be a teen, so I thought I'd join because I am.

Welcome and awesome resolutions!
Hi guys! I'm not a teenager :) but I am an MLIS student taking a YA Materials class over the summer and I thought I'd join this group because one of my assignments is to read 22 books off various reading lists the prof provided. I thought joining this group was a great way of getting a read on which books I should choose to read and which will drive me crazy :) I'm a big fan of the Benny Imura series by Jonathan Maberry, not so much into Twilight.Looking forward to having some fun with this assignment.

Sure! I'm gonna look at all the official lists tomorrow, get descriptions off GR and pick 22 that are interesting and fit the assignment requirements. I'll post that list and see what you guys think.
I'm probably way to old for this group at 32 but I just love some of the YA books that are out there, I mix it up a little with the crime and classics but was a huge fan of Divergent and THG, I live in Tipperary, Ireland and am the mother of 2 boys!! My oldest fella Eoin is reading the first Hunger games as we speak!! Love to get some good recommendations for YA book that are as good as THG!!!
so I said I would post the list of 22 books I have to read for class and here it is. We were allowed to make some choices off of lists provided by my prof (most from the YA Library Services Association, which is part of the ALA). 3.Going Bovine by Libba Bray

5. The First Part Last by Angela Johnson
6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
7. Punkzilla by Adam Rapp
8.Zombies Vs. Unicorns edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier (audio-ing this one because it was on the Amazing Audio list)
9.Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
10. Wheels of Change: How Women Rode the Bicycle to Freedom by Sue Macy
11. Gone by Michael Gant
12. Bootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of Prohibition by Karen Blumenthal
13. How They Croaked by Georgia Bragg
14. All Good Children by Catherine Austen
15.Queen of Hearts by Martha Brooks
16. Dead Inside Do Not Enter: Notes from The Zombie Apocalypse by Lost Zombies (whom I think are following me on Twitter)
17.Daybreak by Brian Ralph
18. Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen and Nancy Butler
19. Kat, Incorrigible by Stephanie Burgis
20. Enter Three Witches by Caroline Cooney

Gone was recommended to me by a work friend a while ago so I'm excited to get to it. I read the first few pages of The Book Thief browsing in a bookstore and almost bought it but had no money.

11 is really popular now to and I read on Rick Riordan's blog that his daughter read them and loved them!

I'm 40, and one of my favourite books this year is Cassidy Jones and Vulcan's Gift. Seriously fun. Plus I have two kids entering that age group, so I like to read what they read.

Hi everyone. My name is Sarah and I love to read many genres, but YA is one of my favorites. I'm pretty new to goodreads. Since I have a 4 year-old and a 2 year-old, I don't have nearly as much time to read as I would like. As far as YA books go, I'm currently reading The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz and have recently finished Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and Divergent by Veronica Roth (can't wait to read Insurgent when I get the chance). I'm looking forward to participating in this group.
Hi all!! I'm David and I'm addicted to YA books and am currently obsessed with dystopians :) I can't wait to start talking about books with you all!!
Hey guys! I'm Hannah, 19 from the UK. I am new to goodreads, and am currently studying at university so don't have as much time as i'd like to read, but i love fantasy and YA! I love getting away from stress by reading other world, and other problems! I'm currently reading the Green Rider series, which is seriously good :) anyway looking forward to talking about books with everyone!

Hello everyone,My name is Kimberley, I am 22 years old and I love to read.
People around me don't seem to enjoy reading so I am glad that I've found this book club.
In 2012 I would like to read 50 books but I have only read 16 books so far.
I like to write about books on my blog http://ayearofprojects.wordpress.com
A few minutes ago I have ordered the book that we're supposed to read this month and I hope I get it soon so I can finish in time.
Hi Kimberly and welcome!! So glad to have you in the group and good luck meeting your goal (my goal is 50 books too this year)
Hi my name is Kelly but i usually go by KCee. I have worked at a book store for 7 years while doing school but am going to get into event planning/PR as a career. However books are my life. So far since Jan i have read over 80 books. I'm 25 and read mostly YA with some general Sci-fi and occasionally a well recommended general fiction.
I merchandise all the tables at my store and am the go to for recommendations so i'm trying to write online reviews for all the books i read, especially the ARCS. Anyone who has tips on writing blogs can feel free to msg me. I'm a reader not a writer!
I joined a few groups when i started goodreads and this has been the one i always enjoyed and followed so now i'll join in.
Hi! I'm Evelyse and I live in Belgium. I'm 26 years old and like to read YA books. I will participate to this group as much as I can, cause I spend my free time reading. So hello to everyone!
Hello! My Name is Fiona. I am a Children's Bookseller (as of Feb 2012) with a passion for YA novels. I run my own review blog and I love to write. The last book I completed in 2009 is terrible and I'm in the middle of writing some new ideas and breaking out of my comfort zone.I'm more recently finding I'm loving Thriller YA as well as Dystopian/Fantasy/Romance :D
I have been dying to read this months Book, Blood Red Road (we kept selling out of it at work but I managed to buy a copy today!) but I have to finish Gone first!
Can't wait to get to know people more :D
Hi, I'm Kelly. I'm 25 and I read mostly YA but will pick up anything that grabs my attention. I've had a little more free time to read in the last month or so since finishing school but that will most likely change soon. Looking forward to talking about books with you all!
Um hi my name's Amina I'm 17 and I read all types of different books especially YA novels and I'm reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield..Uh I don't really know what to say sorry :/
Hi and welcome Kelly and Amina, so nice to meet you and have you in the group :) I think you'll really like it here, everyone's addicted to YA books LOL
Hi everyone. My name is Kelly. Judging by recent posts, there seems to be a lot of people here with the same name so I feel I'm in good company ;) I love all kinds of books but specifically YA books. I don't really know any other people personally that like to read YA books so I'm excited to join a club full of like-minded people. A little more about me: I am a finance major at the University of Central Florida and I am a bit of a TV addict :)

It's always sucha dilemma!
Marie wrote: Don't you hate it when you want to just sit and watch an installment of your favorite show, but you also want to read? It's always sucha dilemma! That's the worst! That's why I enjoy the summer. Most of the TV shows are on hiatus so that frees up more time for reading! And thanks for the welcome :)
David wrote: "Hi Kelly, welcome!! My wife and I are major TV addicts too lol, not to mention book addicts :)"Hi David! Thanks for the welcome. Good to know that I'm not the only obsessive reader/TV addict out there. Maybe we should start a support group LOL
David wrote: "Lol I use GRs as my support group but now I'm addicted to that too haha!!"I know I have too many addictions, not enought time....
