Hello, I'm Mandy, The Romance Bookie. I LOVE reading YA books, so I decided to start a blog last December (2010). It's been a great way to tell people about the books I read, since no one else in my life listens to me about them :). I'm 20 years old, a online college student. Right now, I'm hoping to become an elementary school teacher, that's my dream. I love reading, writing, and going to the movies. So if you're interested in checking out my blog, here's the link:

Thanks!
Hi! My name is Caroline and I love YA books like Miyuki Miyabe's Brave Story, any Diana Wynne Jones books, David Mitchell's Black Swan Green, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and others like these that currently aren't coming to mind xD
Hi everyone! I'm Stephanie, and I am 25 years old. I work as a police dispatcher and I absolutely love my job! I also LOVE to read!!! I wont go anywhere without my Nook, or a book. I read in my down time at work, at home, well pretty much anywhere. It drives my fiance crazy that I read so much. He knows that if I'm almost done with a really good book, he's not to bother me at all, well at least until I'm done with the book, or I put it down for a bit (but that doesn't happen often at all.) We also have two dogs that are both spoiled rotten! Ella is a miniature dachshund and Roxy, well we know she's part dachshund but we aren't sure what else she is mixed with, however I think she has some kind of spaniel mix in her. She's not the brightest dog in the world, but that leads to hours and hours of entertainment on our part!
Hello, my name is Michelle Cornwell-Jordan, and I am a YA writer. I have always loved reading YA novels, and now I still love reading and writing them. I have a 13year old daughter, who helps keep me current on what's good to read and all things teen:)Thanks for letting me join:)
I see a lot of people want to meet others.... well a great way to do that is to join in our book club reads. That is where most discussions happen!
Hi! I'm Sophie and I'm new here but I've read my whole life..well I'm only 14 so it hasn't been super long but I love to read. I like everything that is good to read!
Hi all! My name is Cemara, but y'alls can call me Maya and I'm from Indonesia. Just your soon-to-graduate 17 year-old girl with a chronic book obsession :P (but don't worry, it's harmless) I started my blog during the beginning of 2010, and I've recently gotten some exposure :) I'm in my last year of highschool, so I try and read whenever I have the chance, even with assignments piling up :) I've been reading ever since I can remember, my mom even told me once that when I was little, I picked up a book and "read" it upside down :P Books are the drinks of perspective to me. And I love to curl up, whether it's on my couch during a rainy day, or simply lounging in a beach chair, with a really good book.
I review books that are mostly in the Young Adult genre, I'm into all kinds of stories, from contemporary to the paranormal/supernatural. So if you are into that, please do check out my blog at: http://thebookshelflife.blogspot.com :) Thanks for your time! <3
Okay, I'm a newbie to this group, and I already really like it!My name is Kenna, I'm just a teen addicted to reading. I really like sad/depressing books, but I also enjoy romance, humor and creepy/scary. Teens/Young adult is the best for me.
I like lots of friends so if you have some similarities with me... go ahead and add ;)
Happy reading! ~Kenna
Hello everyone...
My name is Elizabeth and I love to read although having a toddler means I don't have as much time for reading as I'd like. I don't really have a favorite genre, although I will admit that I often find myself engrossed in a young adult novel. I look forward to reading and discussing books with you all.
Feel free to check out my blog http://theBookwormsParadise.blogspot.com

Hi! My name is Galadriel, as you can see. As you may also be able to tell by my name, loving books is a family trait. I started reading and writing at the age of 3, but I just started working on my first YA novel. I am 32, and have two sons, one of whom is a teenager. Unfortunately he doesn't love reading as much as I do! I have read so much in my life that I thought I was running out of books! When I was a Young Adult, I was reading adult books. In fact, I never really read YA- I read at a college level at age 8- until about a year ago. I picked up If I Stay, and then 13 Reasons Why, and graduated to the urban fantasies and faerie stories. Picking up those books opened up a beautiful and incredibly creative world for me. Some of the YA I have read is hands down some of the most beautifully written and innovative stories I have ever read. I have become addicted to dystopia and apocalypse type stories, so that is what I read most often. However, I am a speed reader, and my library card is melted at the edges because of how much I use it! For the first time in a long time I have a stack of books that only gets larger, and I haven't needed to search for new things to read. I love it!
Hello!! My name is C.E. Wilson and I am a newbie to the Goodreads world. I am a huge fan of young adult fiction, both reading and writing and hope I can find some wonderful people who enjoy reading and writing as much as I do! I am 28 years old, and a huge fan of deviant art. :-) I enjoy stories with giants, and pixies and hope to find some people who enjoy that aspect of young adult fiction as well. :-) I love my kindle with all of my heart and am always on the look out for a new YA story so hopefully I will be able to find that as well!
Hi, I'm Celia. I just discovered Goodreads a couple months ago and love it! I have so many books in my to-read list that it outnumbers the books I have read (it doesn't help that half of those books aren't available at my library). Can't wait to learn about more books.

You've made only 21 comments in this group, and the last one was in September 2009. You're not active. Are you planning to be active as your role of co-moderator at some point in the not too distant future? Thanks.
umm hey everyone:)im sabrina and im ( ) years old...sorry;( anyways ive always like to read but unfortunately none of my friends do;( i wisj they would but they dont. ever since i was younger i would read and now my love for books has grown. i know this is kind of cheesy, but i feel good to be on goodreads because i can communicate with people who read the same things as i do and they share the same inrests(even tho i have no friends) i joined this group because it seems cool and there are alot of things to talk about and it feels good to be in a reader community;D READ ON
Hi, it's me

Hello, My names Rachael, I'm 21 and I live in Florida. I've been on goodreads for a few months now, but I kind of just randomly thought, "what the hell, I'll join a book club." So here I am. I read a lot of different types of books but Young Adult Fiction seems to be my favorite. In my opinion, nothing is better then a warm bath, a cup of tea, and a good book. Hopefully I can keep up with the books for the months ahead and can make enough money to acquire said books. Well I'll see yous in the comments :)
Nice to meet you all (thus my screen-name)!! My name is Joan and I'm from Hong Kong. Since I'm 16, it's normal than ever for me to fall for YA books. I love series more than individual fictions and I started my collection with Pretty Little Liars. This might sound shallow but I'm slowly falling for the dystopian genre which I find interesting, creative and deep. Series like the well-raved Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices are slowly becoming my favorites. I also enjoy the Maze Runner Trilogy and Divergent. My next series would probably be Chaos Walking!! Since I am a book fanatic and love to talk about them all the time, I have forced my friends to pick up the books I have read so that we could have a discussion or debate on the plots and characters! I also enjoy writing so I have been writing fanfictions of my own on my favorite books!!! So that's me! YA BOOKS RULE!!!!

Hi I am Cece and I am a teenager. I love to read YA books and my school librarian invited me to this group. I'm looking forward to reading the next book!
I love Charles de Lint, especially the way the otherworlds just seem to creep into ours. Trina wrote: "Hey LeAnn,
I usually call the Charles de Lint and Neil Gaiman school -- urban fantasy or mythic fiction. Of Orson Scott Card, I've only read the Ender books and they're science fiction to me. "
Hi I work in a library in Australia. I'm just on here trying to keep up with all the books coming out in YA, and sort the great ones from the copycats. I'm trying to read from a really broad cross section and not get trapped in fantasy alone, but I do love a good faerie book.
I'm assuming you read the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr? If not, it's absolutely wonderful!! :-)
Oh yes. I love Melissa Marr, I requested the series for my library when I realised they only the second book. I'm thinking of donating my Charles DeLint books too so that more people can get to read him. It's surprisingly hard to find his books on a bookstore shelf over here.C.E. wrote: "I'm assuming you read the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr? If not, it's absolutely wonderful!! :-)"
Hi, my name is Karla. I just joined the group. I am studying to become a teacher. I love reading and am always looking for new books. Feel free to add me as a friend.
Hello :)I'm a member of this group since forever, but I still haven't introduced myself properly.
So, here goes.
I'm Rita and I love reading. I'm getting back in the habit of reading since there were quite a few non-reading periods for me this year. So I want to end the year with a bang ;)
I love the YA genre and I hope by participating in this book club I will read more frequently again :)
I'm a writer. I have a YA titled -- Blue McChesney: Gift of the Dragon. Also I have a space romance -- Starfire: City on the Edge of Forever.I read a lot of YA books. Also I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, and classics (of any type).
I'm retired and rescue Jack Russell terriers. I'm interested in autism and aspergers, since my son has high functioning autism and (with lots of support over the years) is now in college.

Hello =)I'm Irene and I'm 24 years old. When I'm not working or at school, I enjoy reading. I'll read just about anything but I'm more driven for YA books! I'm always up for some new reading material, so if you have a book you want to share, please don't hesitate to recommended it to me!
I loved reading at a young age and remembered being exciting for the book fairs, back then I love Judy Blume books, The Hardy Boys Series, Nancy Drew Series, and Goosebumps series. Ha talk about a long time ago.

Hello! My name is Leslie McNabb and I am a Librarian in San Diego. I love to read YA books, especially fantasy.
Hello,I'm Kayelee!
I am a video blogger for the YA Rebels on youtube, indie book reviewer for siftreviews.com, and I run a new, similar book club here on goodreads called YA Today Book Club (we are always looking for new members too!) I am joining because my book club reads one ya book a month, but I would like to read more than that, and be in a book club that I don't have to run. Hope to read some great stuff here! Also, I hope some of you will join our newer book club if you have the time to do both!
Thanks guys!

Hello, my name is Lorraine. I'm 16 years old and I love reading (although that's basically a given, why would I be here if I didn't?). When I was a kid I read books that I didn't understand, because I didn't know what genre to stick in. Now that I'm a bit older, I'm glad I've found a genre that generally has books that don't confuse me completely but can still challenge me at the same time. I also enjoy kayaking and hiking and spending time outside. I'm so glad I found a YA book club! I'm going to the library tomorrow to pick up The Perks of Being a Wallflower and some books for the quarterly challenge. To the two people above me- I will definitely check out both of your author pages. :)
You'll have to go to Michelle Cornwell- Jordan's page then under her friends column and you'll c my name:)
Welcome everyone!! We have had some great book club picks lately that I hope you will join in and read with us. Anyone have any books they want for a Christmas present this year?
Hi :-) I've already posted on this discussion, and I'm not new anymore, but I haven't been very active on Goodreads recently and have missed all the bookworms joining! I'm Gabrielle, I'm fourteen, and I'm from England. I'd just like to say that the amount of diversity of people on this site is fantastic. I'm loving reading all the different comments from you all; it's fascinating :-)
Hi I'm a Goodreads author looking for people who are interested in reviewing a digital copy of my YA novel Mouch and Company : The Dream Psychic. Here is the synopsis:Being a teenager is tough enough, but try it when you have schizophrenia and psychic abilities that make all of your imaginary friends real... The odds are against Mouch-he's locked up in Talsom Mental Asylum; his only friends are a sock puppet and his shadow. Worst of all, he suffers from amnesia; his earliest memory is of being found alone in a mall wearing nothing but a pair of polka-dotted boxer shorts, a pair of fluffy white bunny slippers, and a hat made from a newspaper.... and covered in a generous amount of blood. When an elderly gentleman visits him and reveals that Mouch is not crazy but is actually a psychic, Mouch does what any rational person would do-he runs for the door. Once outside of Talsom, Mouch soon finds himself thrust into a battle against a sinister movement of dark psychics who threaten to destroy the entire psychic community.
