Hello! My name is Kim. I teach Social Studies and am always looking for a way to use fiction with my 7th and 8th graders!
I am very much looking forward to being involved with this group as they read "Unwind." :0)
Hi, I'm Madison. I live in VA and have for most of my life (I lived in NC for a few years, and TN for a couple of months). I'm almost 21 years old, I'm married and have been for 2.5 years, and I have a 19 month old daughter. I've always like YA books, even though some people pick on me for still reading them. What can I say? I find them to be the biggest escape from the world.
Hello! My name is Amena. I am a HS student and I love to read, write and learn! I'm excited to join the group!
Hey Amena, i just had a very blonde moment and was going to ask what HS was hahahaha click!!! welcome
Hi, my name is Kelsey Montana. I'm a HS Junior and am currently being home schooled. I hope to one day major in Creative Writing and become a published author. My favorite types of books are (YA) fantasy and sci-fi. And I generally tend to stick with books that are immensely suspenseful, sick, and twisted. I guess I'm a little weird in that way. Thanks for having me!
Hello, My name is Rebeca, I am 23 years old and I live in Fort Lauderdale FL but I am originally from Brazil. I <3 reading (now)lol!!!!
Hello, My name is Steph, I am 22 and am a CNA. My younger sister got me interested in reading when she gave me Twilight and I was hooked. Now I devour books. I just can't seem to get enough. I fell like Books A Million is my second home. This is my first book club so i guess we will see how it goes but i'm excited to here what everyone thinks. I also have a book blog so check it out. Hi I'm Lindsay and I loooooove to read and write :D Even though I haven't written a YA novel yet, I'm hoping to sometime in the near future. lol :)
Hey! My name's Katrina. I'm an avid reader of just about everything, YA included and I'm also a writer. I live in Florida with my daughters, though we will be relocating to Minnesota in July.
Its great to meet everyone!
Hi, everyone! I'm Jaimey, wife, mother and Regency romance author. I'm actually not the biggest fan of the YA genre but that's only because I'm just getting started. I hope to get some great recommendations from this group. :o)
Hello all, My name is Elizabeth Isaacs. I'm a mother, teacher, and recently a new novelist. I think I'm too late to catch this book, but hopefully after the school year draws to a close, I'll be able to join in the next one. :o)
Welcome everyone! I have been out of town and without a computer for a view days so wanted to stop by and welcome you!
hi Jamiey. as a whole, the nicest genre of authors i've met are the romance authors. series romance or bodice ripper, doesn't matter they are quality people. went to a couple romance conventions in the 80s and 90s, and several booksellers shows and store signings. Francine Rivers, Katherine Woodiwiss(?) and their husbands were great! others would stop by the store and sign copies while passing through town. met a lot of series romance authors that also worked street fairs. the first romance authors signatures i got were around the year you were born. damn i'm old.
Jim wrote: "hi Jamiey. as a whole, the nicest genre of authors i've met are the romance authors. series romance or bodice ripper, doesn't matter they are quality people. went to a couple romance conventions..."What a nice thing to say! Maybe it's the constant pursuit of a happy ending that makes romance authors so friendly. :o)
Hey y'all! I'm a 30 year old mother of one and love YA. I just started reading in September, but I think I've made up for lost time with averaging 3 books a week. Who knew I'd be a quick reader!?
Some of you are posting whole biographies on here! I'm much less interesting. I'm a high school student in British Columbia, Canada. Once I get a book I have to finish it within a few hours. My favorite genre is fiction, but I'm not crazy about historical. And I want to be a writer, journalist, or psychologist. And I'm saving up to go with the Canadian charity Free The Children to India when I'm 17 because I really want to build a school with them and I'd want a job like that if it didn't pay so little : ) And of course I love YA books.
Oh wow I have been so naughty and not posting ( for some reason it dosnt send to my emails anymore) welcome everyone... I been a bad welcoming comittee these last few weeks
Hi my name is Christina I am 27 years old and I love Young Adult books. I am currently reading Sarahs Key and The Lightning Thief but going to go pick up Unwind from the library tomorrow.
Hi everyone, my name's Joyce, I'm more of a YA contemporary reader. My favorites are THG, HON, VA, Twilight, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Mortal Instruments etc etc...I'm welcome to new book recommendations, my fave genre are fantasy and romance
Hello everyone! My name is Sami and I live in Nebraska. I have always loved to read and write. I joined the sight after my English teacher told me I would like it. SInce then I've been on it all the time.
I hope to be a YA published author some day but right now I am content writing for myself, my friends, and my English classes.
I love all YA and thought this would be a good way to find new books.
Can't wait to see more.
Welcome, Sami. What grade are you in? As a YA author, I visit local middle schools in the Nashville area and speak to kids all the time about writing.
Hi folks. I am adult and highly enjoy reading YA books. I am a reading teacher and work with 5th and 6th grade students. Glad to be reading with you!
Welcome Shannon Nice to meet a fellow teacher, but you'll find quite a bit of them on Goodreads (one of the many reasons I love this site!)
