Cathy Spencer (cm_spencer) | 111 comments Hope I'm doing this right. For World Smile Day, I read Billy Crystal's "Still Fooling' 'Em" because Billy always makes me smile. His book is a retrospective of his life since turning 65, and recounts significant events through his childhood and the decades leading to his sixties. It's a window on the world of entertainment and sports (Billy would have loved to play professional baseball) and his musings on being a son, husband, father, and grandfather. Full of jokes. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

That's perfect, Cathy. Thanks for the mini review; I'll have to 'tag' that book. Love Billy Crystal and have since he starred in Soap. He was the best Oscar presenter ever, IMHO. Of course, they had to start an IV on him, he worked so hard. He gave a wonderful tribute to Robin Williams at the Emmy Awards, too.

Wow finally I read a book where the vampires are dark and vicious.
Arianna is the main female character, I love the fight she has even though her life is horrible she still stands up with her shoulders back and keeps fighting.
The love scene between aria and Braith (the prince of the vampire) is so realistic. Two enemy's that get to know each other stand up to one another push each other's buttons fall hard for each other. Even though their scared they go for love

Cathy Spencer (cm_spencer) | 111 comments I'd never heard of a "tourmaline" before, so I found this explanation at minerals.net.
"Tourmaline is the most colorful of all gemstones. It occurs in all colors, but pink, red, green, blue and multicolored are its most well-known gem colors. Scientifically, tourmaline is not a single mineral, but a group of minerals related in their physical and chemical properties. The mineral Elbaite is the member of the Tourmaline group that is responsible for almost all the gem varieties."

I Googled "shortcrust pastry, Sandra, and, near as I can figure out, they are the same. From Wiki:
Shortcrust pastry is a type of pastry often used for the base of a tart, quiche or pie. It does not puff up during baking because it usually contains no leavening agent.

R.C. Matthews (rcmatthews) | 271 comments So I ended up reading this book with a purple cover instead of the one I originally planned to read. It still counts, right? That completes the two books for me!

4 Stars - I enjoyed the unique storyline - can be read as a stand alone book even though it is book 3 in a series.
