SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. Genre: Middle School I think? It's a compilation of Horror short stories, like going to a carnival and the friend gets minced in a blender ride for the corndogs

Maggie | 5 comments I can remember three specific stories from this book. One is the carnival one, and at the end of that one the main boy watches the ride his friend is on as letters fall off the sign and it spells something like "the blender" or "meat mincer," I'm not sure. Then the other one is a boy who is told he has the power to wish for anything and get it, but it comes from someone else who also has the power, so then before he even gets to use it the other people start wishing for his limbs and he dies (I'm 90% sure). In the third one I can remember it's someone who takes off his skin each night and one night it's stolen and someone else walks around with it.

Maybe a collection by David Lubar.

David Lubar and Paul Jennings for the links to the two authors mentioned above.

also ~~
You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 101 from two months ago where fewer eyes will see it. Get back in the game! Bump!
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!

Did you rule out the two authors mentioned above?

Maggie, around what year did you read this book? A range of years is fine. This will help us narrow down the search.

Sounds like we should add "horror" to the topic header.

Maggie | 5 comments I checked through those other two authors and it wasn't them, my best guess is that it was around 2009-2011 or so

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 255 comments It kinda sounds like it could be from one of those 'Weenie' short-story collections.
