Travis (travishiltz) | 2401 comments Yes, it was pretty light and fluffy, but after the Dalek story, I don't mind a romp.

Ben Miller as the sheriff was great, still loving Capaldi's Doctor and the writing on Clara has taken a big turn for the better this season.

The humor was a little navy handed, but enough clever bits and good moments that I forgive them.

Not sure how I feel about the season arc.

Gatiss hit the mark with this story and I liked that they kept the question of whether Robin was real open to interpretation.

Robert Wright (rhwright) | 74 comments Some fun moments that really never hang together into a solid story. Though the same could be said of much Moffat-produced Who.

Fiona McGier | 75 comments My husband kept insisting that the sheriff was The Master, since he looked so much like Anthony Ainsley. No amount of reminding him of the age disparity would convince him. Eventually he had to agree with us, but it was eery how similar in appearance they were. And husband keeps hoping The Rani will reappear...or maybe Ramana. He does love him some strong female characters.

Really feels like they showed Ben Miller a copy of 'King's Demons' and said 'Do that.'
He would make a great old school style Master, as he has that perfect delivery and can switch it from just sarcastic to menacing very easily.

I know big finish is bringing the Rani back, but no word if the TV show would.
I know some people that that evil Mary Popins lady is going to be revealed to be the Rani, but I doubt it.

CaptKirk42 Classic Whovian (klandersen) | 184 comments With the Sheriff my first thought was he reminded me of Anthony Ainley's Master. I thought it would be cool if the Sheriff turned out to be the Master. I didn't think about who the actor was until later when I saw someone mention Ben Miller's performance and referenced Primeval. Ah then the gears clicked. Now I really do want them to bring in Miller as The Master.

Coming from a different perspective, Miller reminded me Jonathan Price's Master - don't know why really. He would make an interesting Master.
