Paranormal - woman can draw glyphs in the air, possibly a cop/PI

As I wrote in the title. It's a series of books (that much I'm sure of). The main protagonist is a woman, who can see magic in form of glyphs, and also write those glyphs in air.
She was a cop, or a PI, or something similiar. I think one of the books started with her looking at a glyph somewhere in a dark alley talking to someone (possibly her partner). He was male. It was a scene of a murder.
That's all I remember. I know it's not much, but I hope someone read that, and can help me :)
