SOLVED. I think yellow book with baby stroller on front - title likely 'found'. [s]

This book is hard to search for because I believe the title was simply 'found'. I believe it was yellowish in color and had a baby stroller on the front. I think it was about a younger girl and her baby sibling being found abandoned. I just remember it every so often b/c a middle school teacher suggested it was above my reading level... really I just was annoyed I needed to tell others about it.

Read it around 1998 or so. It was a young adult book.

Hi! Searching Abebooks I found a book that fits the name and cover description but the plot is slightly different. It's Found by June Oldham (published in 1996).


A survival story in which a misunderstanding leaves the main character stranded in the deserted countryside. A strange boy and even stranger girl discover the cave she makes into her home. An abandoned baby then challenges the three's ability to keep it and themselves alive when they are barely making it already by themselves.
