I'd like to join! Neil Gaiman is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I've yet to read this one :)

I sure am! Excited about Neil Gaiman! Read a short story, The Sleeper and the Spindle, by him recently in preparation. And listened to his free audiobook short story, Click-Clack the Rattlebag. Now I'm ready! :D

I am LOVING this so far! I'm at chapter 2.

We start off the book with "the man Jack" murdering the poor baby's family, but I love the part where it switches over to the baby crawling out of the crib and waddling away (diaperless!) ... although, I don't recall the ghosts finding out a way to provide him with more diapers too. Perhaps they use some kind of makeshift cloth diapers that they washed clean. Did anyone remember something I might have missed there? I guess it's possible Silas snagged those too on his trips out of the graveyard for food.

I'm glad the ghost made "the man Jack" forget he'd followed the baby into the graveyard. That's a great power for him to have! Seems like they might need it again someday... (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure I'd say scary. It has creepy elements, but they actually amuse me more than scare me :)

I'm at chapter 4 now. Still loving it!

(view spoiler)[ It's like there are different episodes of Bod's adventure of a life :) it's very entertaining! I didn't see the teacher being a hellhound/werewolf/hound-of-God coming! Thank goodness she taught him that weird screechy language lol. Being a ghoul does not sound fun! Although 33rd President of the United States Truman the ghoul made me giggle a little. I finished yesterday! Loved it!

(view spoiler)[Nobody "Bod" is so clever and nice. I like how he dispatches of the man Jack (Frost!) by playing off the Sleer's need for a master to protect.

It was great how the "Jacks of all trades" were villainous versions of Jack characters like "Jack Frost" and "Jack be Nimble", and I can't believe I didn't catch on til after the other jacks called Mr. Frost "Jack Frost"! Clever, clever Mr. Neil Gaiman :) (hide spoiler)]
