Hi, I read a book, possibly a thriller novel, in either the summer of 2009 or 2010. A very minor plot point was that there was a hitman of some sort whose MO was to play the song "We Built This City" by Starship through his car stereo on approach to his destination.
I might be confusing details with other books I read around that time but I think another plot point was a child needed a transplant of some sort. The father wasn't a match but the neighbor or family friend ended up being a match and the biological father.
The book is Promise Me (2006) by Harlan Coben. It turns out I didn't remember the song part exactly, but the above screenshot is what it actually is. The second plot detail listed was actually Hold Tight (2008), also by Coben. Thanks!
