The ‘Let’s Pretend” chapter kinda threw me off at first because I thought that we have enough issues with “pretending” in church? But then I got what he was saying and the chapter opened up for me! He is right that the more I try to align myself and my life with Christ, the more I sense His help in doing so. It is a wonderful feeling when I sense that God and I are on the same page and rowing the boat together instead of me trying to sink it! LOL

I loved this statement and would love to hear your response to it: “In the same way, the suddenness of the provocation does not make me an ill-tempered man; it only shows me what an ill-tempered man I am”.
I laughed when I read the chapter title for chapter 8 – “Is Christianity hard or easy?” I thought to myself – depends on which day of the week it is…LOL How about the statement he made on page 196 about God speaking – “I have not come to torment your natural self, but to kill it” Oh, so true! And that process can be oh so painful at times…

The “Counting the Cost” chapter really got to the heart of the matter from God’s perspective – this is what He is going to do and nothing less will be acceptable, so count the cost before engaging in that relationship ! WOW! That is why so many fall away from it after they get into it – the costs is too high they think but in reality – the costs are much higher for not following through…

Hard hitting chapters but great stuff to chew on…
Those are my thoughts this week – I look forward to reading yours…
