Col, you might be interested to read The Storytellers: Straight Talk from the World's Most Acclaimed Suspense and Thriller Authors. A bunch of short interviews with authors about their craft. Very well done. I enjoy reading about authors and writing, even though I have no writing aspirations. Oddly, Block isn't included in this collection. Check it out - I think you'll like it.
