I honestly think Cassia's grandfather. I loved the way the author described him and and how he gave Cassia the poems. And if not him then the Father then the mother.

i really liked the grandfather - i think that because he knew what was going on and knew what whas going to be an ultimate ending for Cassia, you just had to really appreciate him.
