Janet | 4 comments Author is a man. I read this in 2016, 2017?? Maybe? Short book, no cover art. Told from a view point of a young women working on a ranch, which is being taken from the owner. It's a cowboy western theme. There are stranded aliens with superior technology, superior but failing (?) and they are trying to leave earth, maybe crashed there by acident? When the women is almost raped, a alien saves her. They form a type of partnership, he's trying to recover technology, she has no place to go. I don't think the alien speaks or maybe just no human languge. She calls him her "green man" and kinda starts having feelings for him, but there is no sex... The alien is like a Clint Eastwood kinda guy.

Janet, does the entire story take place on Earth? What's the time period - present day?

What is the woman's job on the ranch? Where is her family?

Before the aliens arrive, is the woman romantically involved with anyone working at the ranch?

How do the aliens look different from humans?

Janet | 4 comments Takes place on earth, as far as I can tell. The time period is not stated. People use horses, wagons, guns... but no other technology like cars or planes. No phones, radios etc...
The aliens technology ( their space craft) seems to work but most is damaged.
So the timeline is maybe the “Old West”?
The woman is a farm hand. I think her family is dead. No romance.
The alien is tall, Smart, skinny and green. Does not talk. The alien lead has humanity/is a good guy. The few other aliens mentioned are not.
